COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A citrusy and refreshing Belgian-style pale ale hopped with Cascade, Citra, and whole Crystal hops for massive aromas and flavors! Fermented with our Belgian Wit yeast for an extra dose of complexity, this one is very drinkable and extremely aromatic.

Per Wil Turner, this is a second runnings beer from Institutionalized Barleywine’s runoff.

Pretty good hybrid from Revolution Brew. Sort of reminds me of a farmhouse ale, but much cleaner, which is not a great trait. Banana and citrus hit the marks for me, but flavor dies too hard and too fast. Overall, nice to try, no re-buy. Serving type: 12oz can.

Tap at Kedzie Brewery, served in Tulip: Golden hue with a small head. The aroma is fruity and slightly dank with a herbal and grassy ester. Biscuity malt and an overwhelming rind-y vapour. The taste has a crisp hoppy bitterness with juicy and earthy notes. Hint of caramel and lot of grainy tones, lightly spicy finish. The mouth feel is a tad thin and soft for the flavor profile. Dry and tannic like finish. A nice enough brew but sort of got that been there, done that feeling while drinking it.

bottle. golden orange with two finger head. About as good as a Belgian pale can be, which is pretty damn good. Awesome flavor. highly recommended.

Dark straw color with a small white head. Pretty impressive aroma, very strong citrus hops balanced with some spice and a little yeast. The spices take a little more of the stage in the flavor with the hops balanced out with some malt sweetness. The body is much lighter than I anticipated, which detracts from an otherwise good beer.

3/1/2013. Pours green with a thin white head. Aroma is pine, citrus, spice, Belgian yeast. Taste is spice, Belgian yeast, nice fruity characteristics, bitter hops. Some nice lacing. Pretty flavorful. Worth a try; though not one I will drink again.

Single can from Binny’s. Nice tropical fruit smell from pouring it into the glass. Closer in, I can find more of those traditionally piney northwestern hops. A clear gold color in the glass, and it pours with a finger of spongy foam. Malt is pretty light against the overwhelming force of this hoppy little cane toad. Hop bitterness almost pierces my tongue, but is till relaxing and almost indulgent. Definitely a great beer you’d never expect to find in a can.

Quite nice stuff. Bubbly and refreshing, initial aroma of strong citrus hops but the flavor of hops isn’t quite as prominent. Serving: Can

A: Golden orange, slightly hazy almost clear, with a fizzy and foamy white head. S: Smells great. Fantastic combination of Belgian yeast - kind of funky, slightly musty, lemon and some coriander - and hops - sweet grapefruit, mango, tangerine. Almost creates a ’bubble-gum’ sweetness, which is a terrible way of describing it because that would be horrible, but very unique. T: Refreshing and crisp bitterness hit first with lemon and tarter-than-sweet grapefruit. Then a wash of Belgian spice, a tad bit of hay, and sweet tropical fruits. Finishes pretty dry P: Light-medium body, noticeable but not obnoxious carbonation. Very refreshing and smooth. O: Fantastic beer. So glad it’s in cans. Need to stock up.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma has juicy citrus, grapefruit, grass and some yeast. The flavor is citrus, light tropicals, grass, toasted malts, yeast with light Belgian character. Not bad for what it is.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2013 Tasted from a 22oz. bottle (then later on tap at Revolution). Poured a beautifully clear, light golden orange with a white head that dissipated quickly. Good carbonation and a faint but pleasant aroma.
