A citrusy and refreshing Belgian-style pale ale hopped with Cascade, Citra, and whole Crystal hops for massive aromas and flavors! Fermented with our Belgian Wit yeast for an extra dose of complexity, this one is very drinkable and extremely aromatic.

Per Wil Turner, this is a second runnings beer from Institutionalized Barleywine’s runoff.

Pours a clear medium amber with a white pancake head. Low carbonation and a pleasantly clean hop aroma. Very well balanced taste with prominent yeast and hops on the follow-through. Clean mouthfeel. Seems quite session-able!

Poured from the can with a dark orange color and a rocky long lasting white pillowy head. Malt was bready with a few nut like notes thrown in. The hops started with a mild resin and built to a full blow citrus punch. Very drinkable.

Canned. Pours a rusty orange with a solid, fluffy white head. Florally, citrus nose: grapefruit, peach flesh, banana, white pepper, a little ginger. Taste is mild to moderate sweetness with a mild bitterness in the late middle that grows slightly in intensity. Finish has more grapefruit rind, Belgian yeast, orange juice, freshly cut straw. Very enjoyable.

Aroma: Floral, pine and resin aromas, but distant. Appearance: Clear orange with frothy tan head. Taste: Light sweetness with hints of sourness. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, minimal finish. Overall: A bit faint on taste, and pretty watery, but drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden, light white head. Fruity citrus, floral nose. Some lighter resin. Decently bitter, some cereal, bready sweetness in the body. Lighter body, watery, quite effervescent. Medium finish. Quite nice.

12oz can pours clear dark amber red with a finger of head. Nose is malty sweet fruit, cherry and light earthy citrus coupled with subtle belgian grainy yeast spice. Taste is sweet, medium bodied, a touch slick, malt driven with minimal hop character, subtle orangey spice, finishes with some loght toasty bread grain and subdued yeast spice, little bit of stickyness, round sweet malt fruit.

Picked up a 12 oz can at Fresh Thyme market in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pours a clear honey color with a small, soapy head that dissipates quickly. I’d recommend a tulip glass for this one...I drank it from a very wide-mouthed tumbler, and the aromas seemed so faint, not nearly as nice as the aromas coming from the can. But coming from the smaller opening of the can was a very nice concentrated hop scent, very earthy and grassy. Flavors are crisp and bright—a light, fruity sweetness with a bit of yeasty barnyard funk underneath. Carbonation feels somewhat fine, but lively. Overall, a nice beer, and pretty interesting flavors.
