COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A citrusy and refreshing Belgian-style pale ale hopped with Cascade, Citra, and whole Crystal hops for massive aromas and flavors! Fermented with our Belgian Wit yeast for an extra dose of complexity, this one is very drinkable and extremely aromatic.

Per Wil Turner, this is a second runnings beer from Institutionalized Barleywine’s runoff.

Couple of cans crushed with Honkeybra. Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Very estery, spicy, citrusy aroma. Flavor is more Belgian style esters and citrus. Seems like a wit on roids. But that’s cool.

Fr0m a can (N0T fr0m The can... 0h, wait. I already used that.) - Nice g0ld/br0nze b0dy, tiny bubbled, with a m0dest head that rapidly reduces t0 a film. The ar0ma is spicy with h0ps - fl0ral (snapdrag0ns?), resiny, with tangerine and 0range rind - 0ver a light breadiness. The flav0r (which we’re t0ld can 0nly be sweet, bitter, s0ur, salty, and umami - I’m glad I’m stupid) sees the additi0n 0f bananas and 0ther fruit (umami apple?) with a black pepper bitterness (which I can taste, minus the pepper c0mment). Dry finish, mildly bitter and fruity. Nice sec0nd runnings beer, gentlebrewers!

On tap @ Revolution. Orange pour with a soapy white head. Tea, orange peel, and bread on the nose. Hints of herbs and pine, some nice floral hops as well. Slight spiciness. Flavor is heavy on the bread and caramel malts. Good toast, orange, some herbal hops, light pine, and good floral notes. A bit of white pepper on the finish.

Amber color, really small head. Super grassy aroma. Lots of hops in this. Mouth feel was a little harsh. This was super carbonated. Hop resin throughout. A little wild and different, but not bad. I’d order it again.

Poured from a 12-oz can, procured from Lizardville Rocky River. Clear light golden pour with a huge fluffy white head. Awesome aroma of citrus hops and mild yeast. Flavor is similar but the yeast comes through a little more and the citrus is slightly backed down. Lighter to medium palate. Solid.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma has juicy citrus, grapefruit, grass and some yeast. The flavor is citrus, light tropicals, grass, toasted malts, yeast with light Belgian character. Not bad for what it is.

3/1/2013. Pours green with a thin white head. Aroma is pine, citrus, spice, Belgian yeast. Taste is spice, Belgian yeast, nice fruity characteristics, bitter hops. Some nice lacing. Pretty flavorful. Worth a try; though not one I will drink again.

March 28, 2013 - on tap at bavarian lodge. Clear golden pour with head and lacing. Aroma of spice, yeast, citrus and malt. Taste was consistent with aroma, nicely balanced between the two styles.

Tap. Fluffy eggshell head, light clear marigold orange. Zippy citrus and floral aromas with some light candy sweetness. Flavor is very similar, with nice citrus hops and a touch or sweetness in the finish. Could be a bit cleaner and drier. Lighter sticky body.
