[Can] Poured golden in color with a hint of a reddish hue to it. Spicy citrus hops and yeast notes in the aroma. Yeast and a little funk starts in the flavor. Peach, tart pear, honey, bread and dry lemon mix with hops that impart more of an orange flavor. Not a bad beer, but I am really not sure what to make of it. Seems a little muddled together in the end. Tasting notes from 2/2014.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is Belgian yeast, pine and hops. The flavor is light grapefruit, fruit, Belgian yeast funk, malts and a dry and bitter finish. Reminds me a little of Duvel Triple Hop, the hops here are a little more bitter and drier than most American ales.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Awesome aroma of citrus mixed with fresh, piney hops. Orange amber with a thick tan head. Sweet malt up front, intertwined with notes of fresh orange and sweet candy. then nicely balanced with a slightly bitter hop. Finishes balances with the perfect amount of bitterness. Outstanding representation of this style.

From tap. Clean gold orange in glass. Big nose of complex hops, some citrus zest and wet cellar. Big flavors in this offering, mostly sweet. Bubblegum and orange candies. Short bread. Fine, hoppy, bitterness lurking underneath. Very well put together. I am a sucker this kind of sweet and bitter combo.

Normal size fucken can @ home, courtesy of TheAlum! Thanks! Pours! Pretty clear rust orange appearance with a nice fluffy tan head. Pretty fucken spicy hops in the nose. Some pine and dank for sure. Some doughy, citrusy notes as well. Pretty heavy carbonation. Juicy grapefruit and banana flavor with vanilla, spice, herbs, and grass. Ok but doesn’t blow my mind.

can. from Frank I think. nose full of cat piss and uninviting fruit. slowly rotting fruit with sugar. thank god it tastes much better and by that I mean it is actually drinkable. wow, I now officially am writing to the UN to prohibit export of US hops to Belgain yeast.

Fr0m a can (N0T fr0m The can... 0h, wait. I already used that.) - Nice g0ld/br0nze b0dy, tiny bubbled, with a m0dest head that rapidly reduces t0 a film. The ar0ma is spicy with h0ps - fl0ral (snapdrag0ns?), resiny, with tangerine and 0range rind - 0ver a light breadiness. The flav0r (which we’re t0ld can 0nly be sweet, bitter, s0ur, salty, and umami - I’m glad I’m stupid) sees the additi0n 0f bananas and 0ther fruit (umami apple?) with a black pepper bitterness (which I can taste, minus the pepper c0mment). Dry finish, mildly bitter and fruity. Nice sec0nd runnings beer, gentlebrewers!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2014 12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. Strong notes of banana and spice kick it off, while there’s still a huge fluffy head. Eventually bread, some candy sugar, some floral notes, and some spice (particularly pepper and clove) join into the mix as well. The big, fluffy, slightly off-white head sits atop a mostly clear, effervescent gold-orange body. A nice layer of head remains atop the drink throughout, and it leaves an abundant lacing down the glass. The taste is mostly sweet (medium / medium-high levels) but with a nice bitter complement underpinning it (medium levels). The medium / medium-full body is creamy and smooth going down aided by a soft, mellow carbonation in moderate amounts. The mouth feel is initially toasty bread with some citrus (lemon and orange), and a floral / herb taste. Fleshy stone fruit (peaches / apricots) start to come out near mid-bottle as well as some of the fuller caramel malt body. It finishes with toasty caramel flavor accompanied by a clean resin and grassy quality; fairly crisp, too.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz can, Kroger Bridge St. Light golden color; pretty hazy; foamy white head becomes a large ring; heavy lacing. Aroma bready, orange, banana, spices. I would say the flavor leans more toward a Belgian than a pale ale, which isn’t necessarily a problem. This one is the good parts of a pale ale and a Belgian combined, without the lousy wheat characteristics of all the spring wits that are coming out right now. Good beer for the style. What a great brewery.
