An American hop assault for all the ambivalent warriors who get the girl in the end. "Look, I ainít in this for your revolution, and Iím not in it for you, princess."

Canned 6/25/13 and poured July 8th -- hard to beat that. Appearance: A pretty clear amber color, with maybe just a slight haze to it. Thereís maybe a finger or two of head, but it bubbles away pretty quickly. Thereís basically no lacing. This doesnít have the look of some of the other critically acclaimed IPAs, but thatís not a huge deal. I do love the label on the can though, which is why my appearance rating is bumped up a bit. That probably shouldnít factor in, but oh well. On one side you get the fist thatís shown in the picture on this site, and then on the other you have General Hophead with hops falling from the sky with parachutes. Itís just a memorable, good looking label. Smell: Sweet, but without tropical fruit smells that Iíve had in a good number of IPAs Iíve had recently. Instead, this has that sweet, bursting piney hop aroma. I havenít ever been in the presence of pot before, but I imagine this is what it probably smells like. Taste: Almost exactly like the smell. Sweet, piney, Mary Jane sorts of taste through and through. The aftertaste is slightly sticky, and absolutely fantastic. Iím not sure Iíve had a fresher tasting IPA -- this is almost like just sucking on a hop. Anti-hero has hops through and through, but itís not intensely bitter at all. This has a great sweetness to it, and it works incredibly well with those sharp, fresh-as-all-hell hops. This is awesome... absolutely awesome. One of the freshest tasting beers Iíve ever had. Being bottled 13 days ago no doubt helps. Anti-Hero is definitely now one of my favorite IPAs, and that actually sucks. Revolution needs to start distributing to Michigan soon, because I only got one six-pack of this stuff.

Pours orange with a little white head. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits. Ever so slight sweetness present from the malts. Tastes very similar to the smell. Bright notes of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits are presence. Pretty hoppy throughout the palate. Mouthfeel and carb are both in the same range as other IPAís. This is really a great beer. Nothing very unique about it, but loads of good flavors and well crafted with my favorite hops.

(4/8/13) Pours a beautiful orange copper with a finger and a half of white foam. Reminds me of Orange Hi-C. The nose is overall fairly sweet with some pine, and lots of citrus sweetness by way of grapefruit, mango, and orange. A bit of bready malt peeks out from beneath the sweetness and keeps it from being too sweet. The taste is a perfect blend of pine and citrus. Again, the citrus is grapefruit, mango, and orange. The bitterness builds with the finish, levels out just before it overpowers, high fives the other flavors, they all hang out a bit, and then pick up a nice floral, palate cleansing dryness to close things out. The mouthfeel is nice and silky, almost oily, with decent carbonation. Overall this is an amazing IPA. It rivals Zombie Dust as my favorite IPA/APA. The perfectly balanced and blended bitterness of Anti-Hero really makes this brew something wonderful. Like a rug that really ties the room together, it really ties this brew together. This is a definitely a sleeper of an IPA. If it werenít year round it would be highly sought after imo.

Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is sweet juicy citrus and floral hops. Taste is sweet juicy citrus hops with notes of orange and tangerine in the follow through along with some caramel and bready malt present. Aftertaste is more sweet citrus with some resinous piney bitterness on the finish. Palate is medium and somewhat sticky. Overall a delicious IPA.

Found this on tap at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Pours a golden amber color with a strong hop aroma. Very drinkable with a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Very good IPA!

Can shared @ Ale Alpharetta. Now this is a poundable, delicious IPA that could turn into a favorite were is locally available. Fresh citrus (grapefruit and orange), light sweet, perfect carbonation and easy and strongly hopped and flavorful IPA. Yessir.

12 oz can into a pint glass. Thanks seuthdog! Pours a clear amber body with some dirty white foam. S - Pine, grapefruit, caramel malts, and pulpy orange juice. Really juicy and almost herbal, this is a pretty unique aroma that I havenít found in any other IPA. T - Pine and grapefruit lead into some crackery malts. Has a really clean watery finish which helps with the bitterness but I wanted the flavors to stick around a while longer. Peach aftertaste. Insanely easy drinking stuff. Slick mouth feel. O - A bit too clean and watery. Not an amazing IPA, but one that you could easily crush a few cans of on a hot summer day. Thanks for sending me this Chicago treat Jon!

Can. Pours a medium golden orange color with a small head. Nose is bitter, hoppy with deep citrus, pine and resin. Taste is rather bitter, with citrus and strong pine. Full of flavor and taste. Finishes on the same tasting notes, with a long finish. Descent IPA. Quaff Score 7 / 10
