Flight at the brewery (from backlog). Golden orange color with a big nose. Citrus and piney/resin. Sweet with a bitter and slightly astringent finish.

Poured from a 12 ounce can. Lours a translucent copper with a white head of foam. Aroma has clean herbal and grapefruit notes. Taste is a juicy sweet with a bit of drying cotton candy and crystallized Ginger. Nice stuff.

12oz can poured into glass. IPA out of a can, how can one go wrong? Nice hoppy aroma, more floral then anything. Nice earthy flavor with a lingering malt backing.

Can extrad by Highwine. Thanks!! Now this is a solid ass IPA. Aroma is big citrus and pine with just a hint of caramel malt and well-water like aromas. The pour is super nice with a clear bronze color and a fluffy but quickly dying white head. Flavor is big grapefruit, burnt caramel, pine bitterness, and mineral water. Drinks very nicely, with a clean finish that leaves just a bit of hops on the tongue. Great!!

12oz can into a Founders snifter. This is starting as a bag of straight hop pellets, pure dankness, Id say this is fresh. It pours a nice lite copperish color with a nice 3 finger white head, perfectly clear an lots of lacing. The tastes of resiney hops and lite malt come through with hints of pine through and through. The body is a lot lighter than I expected. Overall this is very good and enjoyable.

Aroma: mostly piney aroma with a slight hint of grapefruit. Appearance: Beautiful golden orange color with nice head that fades relatively quickly.Taste: Pine up front, grapefruit in the middle and a very slight sweetness to finish it off.Palate: Hoppy, flavorful and a slight bit of malty sweetness for balance. Doesn?t taste bitter at all considering the IBUs.Overall: Really nice beer that drinks easier than it?s IBU?s and 6.5% ABV would indicate. Not the best IPA I?ve ever had,but a good go to IPA if you live in the Chicago area and need a refreshing hop fix.

Great IPA! Not as bitter as I was expecting, but this beer is incredibly well balanced. This is an IPA I can drink any time, without worrying about wrecking my palate-if I decide to drink more than one ;-) . This is definitely a go-to beer for me, and its local. I highly recommend trying it.

Aroma is nice and hoppy with lots of grapefruit, pine resin and a nice, slightly fruity tangerine note which seems to be the most prevalent hop character. A hint of caramel malt in the background. No alcohol aroma. Pours a hazy golden orange with a thin white head that slowly recedes to the edges. Nice lacing with almost no legs. The flavor has a but of caramel to it but it actually works alright with the hop notes. There is a fruitiness similar to a fruit roll up as well as a bit of tangerine an orange. A light background pine resin note lingers into the finish helping dry the finish out. Bitterness is moderate and not harsh at all. Mouthfeel is medium bodies with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth make this easy drinking. Overall this is a surprisingly good beer from a brewery that I have only had average beers from up until now. Not as dry as a West Coast IPA, but the caramel isn't over done at all and works well with the hop bill. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
