An American hop assault for all the ambivalent warriors who get the girl in the end. "Look, I ainít in this for your revolution, and Iím not in it for you, princess."

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Hazy orange color with a medium off-white head. Stringy lacing. Citrus and hops in the nose. Medium body with citrusy hops and malt flavors. Moderately bitter hops finish with a piney aftertaste. Above average overall.

Walking back to your Bridgeport flat at night; gripping your church key for the twit who tries to make off with the seventeen dollars in your pocket; you canít help but reluctantly notice the cityís new cohort of young trollops multiplying across your back alley and front step alike. No corner goes unadorned as they mount themselves to the chipped, green primer on the avenuesí lampposts and entice you with their slim figures borne of a steady diet comprised of apricot flavored cigarettes and White Castle sliders. Youíre headed home, but werenít expecting to now. The boss told you to take a vacation - probably forever. Her immaturity, dim-wits, and newly purchased fishnets go hand-in-hand, so you invite her in. She calls you daddy, so you scold her and tell her to shut up. Nothing fits her right. The AquaNet hairspray she applied this afternoon as she rolled out of bed at 3:30pm has now cracked; flaking like the white stain on her black, loosely ill-fitting B-cup brassiere - thanks to genetics, she got at least two ďAĒs in her life. She needs a place to stay: you only have seventeen dollars, minus the amount you were planning on spending for dinner at the Buckyís gas station. Again, sheís thin, rail thin; she would look fuller if she didnít immerse herself in Tropical Agent Orange spray tan, which is nothing more than not-so-cleverly disguised Kool-Aid concentrate; sailors call it bug juice. Despite your efforts to engage her with offers of hand-rolled clove beedis and a tipple of Rittenhouse Rye, she immediately goes flat and reveals her insipid personality. The remnant aroma of what she smoked and ate last night had more character than the hoax of her projected imagination, which was nothing more than repeating punch lines from sitcoms and laughing first every time. With each sip, you wished she at least had the bubbly demeanor of a neophyte, but she bypassed the best part in favor of a feigned bitterness that faded as she lost interest. You follow suit upon finishing, but quickly realize youíve committed for the remainder of the week; sheís staying five more days. Youíve been had, friend; you probably could have done a better job yourself. Look on the bright side; at least your dinner at Buckyís exceeded your expectations: you still have your seventeen dollars and they carry Sculpin IPA in the icebox now.

On tap at Brew Pub. Pours a clear deep golden color with a one inch white head that retains well with light lacing. Smells of strong floral hops, light sweet malt, and a touch of citrus. Tastes of strong hops, slight citrus, and slight sweet malt. There is also a noticeable bitterness. Mouth feel is smooth and clean with an average carbonation level.

AWISLguy (1048) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Sample at Whirleyball in Vernon Hills. Pours a yellowish orange with a lot of lacing. Aroma has fresh fruit, overwhelmingly so - to the dirty socks point - pine and citrus. Taste is fruity, with caramel and citrus, and is quite rough. Better than the aroma but neither are smooth. Finishes bittersweet. Iíve wanted to try some Revolution stuff but got onto Pipeworks first, and Pipe has seemed better.

Purchased at Evolution Liquors in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a Tuesday night after work. I also had this on tap at Schubas while waiting for a very late friend. Appearance is a slightly cloudy gold with a rich white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is pretty nice, packs the typical IPA punch with notes that are somewhere between citrus, grassy, and floral. Taste also goes down very nicely with a good bitterness. Nothing particularly outstanding about this, just a really really good IPA.

12oz can courtesy of Tooch4321. Cheers, Adam! Pours a clear orange-copper with a white head. Nose is slight caramel, big pine, and some great dry-hopping with floral and herbal hops. Flavor follows the nose with a nice hop presence- everything from floral and herbal and piney. Light to medium and lingering floral.

Very solid IPA from one of the best local brewers in Chicago. Itís heavy on the hops and the floral, grass and citrus aromas. Grapefruit and some honeysuckle. Love the way it looks, tastes and smells. Great effort by Revolution.

I am surprised I havenít rated this at the brew-pub but am glad to try it in cans regardless. This is really a nice IPA w/ a bright, fresh hop aroma. It pours clear orange w/ a small head of fine bubbles. Nose is peachy, fruity hops w/ a twinge of pine. Flavor and bitterness are rather light for the style which makes this drink much lighter than it actually is, which is either a good or bad thing depending on whether you gotta drive later. Finishes clean w/ just a touch of bitterness. Definitely, this is one of the better packaged IPAs in the area and I will be buying more in the future.
