On tap at the brewpub - Clear light amber with a ring of white head. Nose is clean and citrusy, with lemony notes. Crackery malt base and a bit of garlic. Taste is much the same, clean malt, lemony citrus hops. Very crisp, nicely carbonated Good stuff.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Has an awesome citrus hop scent, taste is similar to the scent. It is extremely well balanced, bitterness fades nicely, could drink this all day.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
draft. clear light copper body with a fine white head. soft, velvety texture, medium body with smooth and creamy carbonation. pungent fruit rind and moderately resinous hops, the bitterness and flavor seem well-suited for the texture and body. quite good, which for an IPA for me these is saying a lot. heavy grapefruit pith and citrus rind / oil are nice, and while there’s a lot of pine resin (more than I prefer), the fine, velvety body and vibrant fruit character of the hops more than makes up for it.

A bit milder than I remember, but still forward with citrus and apple stem bitterness. Nice and sticky.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16oz plastic cup poured at the grand opening of the brewery. Appearance a slight cloudy amber, light white head. Aroma of skunky hops, light citrus notes, pretty nice. Taste is definitely hoppy, strong bitterness, citrus comes out a little more, pretty good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft in a tulip at the Gage, Michigan Ave. Well, almost every beer they serve comes in a tap. But for this style it’s appropriate. Very slight haze of a light copper beer with a thin head. Smell of American IPA hops, citrus and pine from likely Cascade and Columbia, maybe some Amarillo. But I can also smell some warm malts at the same time. Tasting hands the baton back to the hops, which are more bitter than the bouquet. Strong backbone of malts slowly reasserts itself. Good for sipping with the gage’s signature fish & chips (French Fries more than the English style chips, I believe).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at brewery, poured an orange color, aromas of hop juice, mostly citrus, and some light pine and caramel. Flavors are the same with mostly citrus hitting the palate. Not too much bitterness in the aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Generally a drier IPA, leaning a little toward the Brit style than U.S.--not my preference but pretty well done.
