Fantastic IPA. Nice sweet malt. Fantastic hop flavor and just the right amount of bitterness. As good as it gets

Rich hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright citrus and piney hops with a good malt backbone and quite a bit of tropical fruit sugars noticeable in the smell. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front with a decidedly piney and herbal bite, all with a smooth malt backbone and a good rich toffee finish. Aftertaste shows some hop bitterness, but not too much, all with a good balance and a little sweetness. Overall, a nice IPA for sure, but it smells and looks nicer that the final taste. Still, well worth bringing this home from Chicago! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Binnyís in Chicago (South Loop), Illinois on 21-August-2013 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 24-March-2014.

Thanks tectactoe. Good all around drinkable IPA. A deep citrus aroma. A sharp piney citrus hop flavor. Hop flavors stick around afterwards in a good way. I liked this one.

Nothing to knock your socks off, good IPA and is what an IPA should be, but is nothing more than that either.

Aroma is citrus. Flavor is floral citrus and pine. Finishes with a nice bitter finish. At 6.5% this really gets the job done for a brilliant ipa.

Rated fr0m a 6-pack 0f cans fr0m the l0cal Jewell: G0lden/yell0w b0died with a thick, enduring head, this had a str0ng citrus ar0ma c0mplemented by mang0s, pineapple, and a hit 0f pine. It was filled with h0p flav0rs, tasty, n0t t00 bitter, with a lightly sweet malty flav0r, bready/grainy, beneath it. It finished n a bittersweet n0te. This is a s0lid IPA, very drinkable...danger0usly s0.

From can. Aroma of sweet citrus hops and flowers. Flavour of malt and hops. A little too sticky for the medium body. Finish is bitter.

A clear dark amber beer that has a smaller pure white head that leaves a nice lacing. Has a delicious grassy hop scent. Very flavorful with a nice hop flavor (herbal, fresh cut grass, citrus) nice complexity. An excellent beer that I would go out and look for. A must try for all you hop heads.

On tap in Cleveland (OH)
An excellent IPA is the perfect antidote for a cold winter day in January. The fact that it was one of the tap specials was an added bonus. I wish that I could try more Revolution releases in smaller sizes - not because they are not world class but because there are simply too many options to get to them any other way.

Aroma / Appearance - A golden carbonated body bubbles with life. Lively fresh white head is like a dusting of overnight snow. Lemons, fresh wheat, grapefruit, and other flavors are an assertive presence full of hops.

Flavor / Palate - The bitterness is immediate after only the first sip. Wheat drives the mouthfeel towards a sourdough and lemon finish. Bright and resiny it is an assault of fresh hops. If youíve got a can do not let it sit around; enjoy this excellent beer as soon as possible.
