Pours a nice dark orange. Hops as soon as the can opens. Danky pine, more aromatic than most Midwest/east coast IPAs. Nice hoppiness, and a malty finish.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a golden/orange color with a small head. The aroma was bitter and hoppy with citrus, pine and resin. The taste was bitter with citrus and some pine. Nice.

Draught at Chicago O’Hare Airport. Pours a medium amber with a white head. Hoppy aroma, spruce, apricot, caramel, orange, bergamot. Off-dry, medium to full bodied, mid to high bitterness, balanced CO2. Hoppy, resiny taste, spruce, caramel, apricot, blood orange, bergamot. Pretty solid and enjoyable. (2014-04-13)

12oz can via trade. Poured a good looking clear rusty amber body with a smaller quick fading foamy light beige head. Aroma is sweeter citrus and caramel malts, tangerine and brown bread dough, some lemon and lime with grainy crusts. Body is medium to lighter with softer carbonation and a quicker finish on the aftertaste, weak and lightly watery sums it up. Flavor of citrus, lemons, tangerine, yellow grapefruits, older hop resin, dough, caramel matls and some toffee, grapefruit on the finish. Meh it’s okay.

Can. Pours a clear orange with a medium size white head. Aroma of citrus hops, fruit, and sweet caramel malts. Flavor of malt then huge bitterness quickly following with mostly citrus hops. Very good.

golden, sparkling, frothy, white foam, hay, grass, herbs, earthy, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, medium body, creamy, fizzy, bitter, great artwork and the brewing company was filled with cool people. Typically fill my growler with this beer when I visit, but a friend grabbed me a six pack this time.

Loved it. Just the right amount of hop flavour, right amount of carbonation and not too heavy.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. Aggressive citrus notes - grapefruit and orange peel - along with a moderate grainy or cereal note and a complimentary toffee undertone emanate from the glass. The pour is a slightly hazy yellow - amber with a sudsy, foamy white head. The head recedes slowly and ends up leaving a moderate "film" layer (with a few holes) and a medium - low thick ring around the edge. The head is a mix of bubble sizes and leaves a moderate amount of fluffy lace down the glass. The taste is a well blended medium-high bitter and sweet. The medium / medium-full body is mostly a dry, hoppy bitterness with a pleasant juicy caramel malt supporting it. The slick texture and zippy carbonation, along with the pine and citrus zest finish give this beer a very crisp quality. The aftertaste is not dissimilar to a toast and citrus jelly taste, with a citrus peel like bitterness. The aftertaste is fairly persistent and of above average strength. Nothing about this beer is extreme or overly complex; however, it’s very good at what it is. In my opinion, this is what I think of when I think of an IPA.

Can thanks to Beechner224. Pours a decent goldish color. Nothing special. Smells of some hops. decent. taste is the same. some hop flavor. nothing too in your face. I guess its a good beer for a beach day. Not overwhelming on the palate. Overall a decent beer.
