Tap at AQ Bevolution 2nd Anniversary event at Yellow Ape Craft. Balanced nose, peachy, caramel, citrusy hopping. Clear medium amber color. Creamy caramel initial, very juicy hopping in mid, back to sweet malt in late mid and final. Medium body. Nice and chewy. Good balance, though it does get a bit sweet in final. A good standard IPA, juiced up a bit.

Tap at Yellow Ape. Sweet stone fruits, oranges and peaches. Strong bitterness. Deep golden-orange color. A bit too bitter, but decent.

On tap at the AQ Bevolution x Yellow Ape Event. New to Japan is Revolution Brewing’s Anti-Hero IPA. A light copper gold with minimal head and a juicy fruity hop bouquet. The taste is a clean bitterness, herbal, earthy pint with some light spice biscuity character from the malts. A nice solidly satisfying IPA.

Fresh can served in a tulip. Beer pours a a hazy orange with a fingers worth of white head that shrinks down and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is grassy, citrus, pine resin, and a bit of caramel. Taste is very hoppy up front. Pine resin, grapefruit, and orange peel, mixed with a caramel and toffee malt backbone. It is very well balanced and super refreshing. It sticks to your mouth and makes you want more. A great IPA.

Tap a few times on my trip back to Chicago/Rockford Nov 2014 Pours bright orange very lite with a nice soapy white head and good lacing from the start. Nose is very floral and citric-mostly flowery hops here. nothing really all that special but still solid. Flavors are all citrus and floral. Again nothing really special here however solid C-hops and some floral flowery, slightly leafy notes. body is somewhat lite but not in a bad way. Easy to session this brew bigtime!

5oz pour at the Revolution brew pub pours a clear orange with a ring of white head. Nose has orange, pine needles, soap, a little white grape. Flavor is better, sweet malt, some apple sweetness, orange and lemon, mild pine, mild soap. Slick finish.

12oz. can. Floral, lightly sweet, citric and spicy aroma, faintly herbal and piney with notes of tea leaves, orange and some faint caramel malt toast in the background. Lightly hazy deep golden in color with a lasting, fine, off-white head and matching lace. Flavor profile is generously bitter, hoppy, resinous and citric, with plenty of hop overtones throughout and a very gently sweet malt backbone appearing briefly before it is overcome with hop character towards the finish. Relatively low in effervescence and oily on the palate, dry and cleansing, body is medium. Highly drinkable and quite hoppy indeed. Thanks, Eric!

This beer always goes down so easy and tasty. And then after the second, you soon realize you are feeling quite buzzed. Regardless of its BAV% it always gets to me. No complaints. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
