3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Revolution Brewing, Milwaulkee Ave, Chicago. Poured a clear light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is hoppy leading to a medium bitter flavour with a malty liqourice spicy hop slightly smooth caramel palate. I really enjoyed this.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Revolution Brewing, Chicago. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, pine, resin and light caramel malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter, bringing out the qualities better that are light in the nose. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Canned 6/25/13 and poured July 8th -- hard to beat that.
Appearance: A pretty clear amber color, with maybe just a slight haze to it. Thereís maybe a finger or two of head, but it bubbles away pretty quickly. Thereís basically no lacing. This doesnít have the look of some of the other critically acclaimed IPAs, but thatís not a huge deal. I do love the label on the can though, which is why my appearance rating is bumped up a bit. That probably shouldnít factor in, but oh well. On one side you get the fist thatís shown in the picture on this site, and then on the other you have General Hophead with hops falling from the sky with parachutes. Itís just a memorable, good looking label.
Smell: Sweet, but without tropical fruit smells that Iíve had in a good number of IPAs Iíve had recently. Instead, this has that sweet, bursting piney hop aroma. I havenít ever been in the presence of pot before, but I imagine this is what it probably smells like.
Taste: Almost exactly like the smell. Sweet, piney, Mary Jane sorts of taste through and through. The aftertaste is slightly sticky, and absolutely fantastic. Iím not sure Iíve had a fresher tasting IPA -- this is almost like just sucking on a hop. Anti-hero has hops through and through, but itís not intensely bitter at all. This has a great sweetness to it, and it works incredibly well with those sharp, fresh-as-all-hell hops.
This is awesome... absolutely awesome. One of the freshest tasting beers Iíve ever had. Being bottled 13 days ago no doubt helps. Anti-Hero is definitely now one of my favorite IPAs, and that actually sucks. Revolution needs to start distributing to Michigan soon, because I only got one six-pack of this stuff.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours orange with a little white head.
Smells of citrus and tropical fruits. Ever so slight sweetness present from the malts.
Tastes very similar to the smell. Bright notes of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits are presence. Pretty hoppy throughout the palate.
Mouthfeel and carb are both in the same range as other IPAís.
This is really a great beer. Nothing very unique about it, but loads of good flavors and well crafted with my favorite hops.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
(4/8/13) Pours a beautiful orange copper with a finger and a half of white foam. Reminds me of Orange Hi-C.
The nose is overall fairly sweet with some pine, and lots of citrus sweetness by way of grapefruit, mango, and orange. A bit of bready malt peeks out from beneath the sweetness and keeps it from being too sweet.
The taste is a perfect blend of pine and citrus. Again, the citrus is grapefruit, mango, and orange. The bitterness builds with the finish, levels out just before it overpowers, high fives the other flavors, they all hang out a bit, and then pick up a nice floral, palate cleansing dryness to close things out.
The mouthfeel is nice and silky, almost oily, with decent carbonation.
Overall this is an amazing IPA. It rivals Zombie Dust as my favorite IPA/APA. The perfectly balanced and blended bitterness of Anti-Hero really makes this brew something wonderful. Like a rug that really ties the room together, it really ties this brew together. This is a definitely a sleeper of an IPA. If it werenít year round it would be highly sought after imo.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is sweet juicy citrus and floral hops. Taste is sweet juicy citrus hops with notes of orange and tangerine in the follow through along with some caramel and bready malt present. Aftertaste is more sweet citrus with some resinous piney bitterness on the finish. Palate is medium and somewhat sticky. Overall a delicious IPA.
