3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft in a tulip at the Gage, Michigan Ave. Well, almost every beer they serve comes in a tap. But for this style itís appropriate. Very slight haze of a light copper beer with a thin head. Smell of American IPA hops, citrus and pine from likely Cascade and Columbia, maybe some Amarillo. But I can also smell some warm malts at the same time. Tasting hands the baton back to the hops, which are more bitter than the bouquet. Strong backbone of malts slowly reasserts itself. Good for sipping with the gageís signature fish & chips (French Fries more than the English style chips, I believe).

Pours almost clear orange but on closer look you might see some grains. Head is Thick with about 2 inch head. Nose: hops and fruits. Mouth is light but full. Taste: hops, pines, citrus, fruity with malts to balance the hops. Fruity flavor is somewhat like hint of pineapple. smooth and nice to have. Overall like ability is good!

can. slightly hazy orange under a medium, frothy, white head. aroma of crystal malt and citrus hops. a generous amount of sweetness. crystal and honey like sweetness with light toasty breadiness. fruity citrusy hop profile goes well with the intense maltiness of the beer, but it nearly gets swallowed up. . this is definitely not a dry airy west coast style beer, buts its a great example of a beefy cold mid west ipa. medium bodied, yet finishes attenuated enough to drink a few together or with a meal. quite a niche!

2/8 - Mo Daileyís (Chicago) Draft - One of my favorite IPAs, and fortunate to live in Chicago where it is served in many bars. Mild hoppy taste, not very strong. I love the taste. The revolution will not be televised, but it will continue to be ordered by me at a bar near you.

Iíve had this IPA many times and was surprised that i hadnít rated it when I went to check. This is my go to Chicagoland IPA. Always fresh an amazing hop profile. Citrus and pine though this is more on the lemony side of an IPA. The dryness lingers and has a sweet caramel malt backbone.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Canned December 1, 2014.
Glass: New Belgium globe glass.
Appearance: Hazy amber body with a short light tan head that quickly dissipates to a thin messy coating.
Aroma: The aroma is super mild, not offensive, but nothing is going on in it. Light tea like aroma, but nothing else going on.
Taste: Very light tea-like flavor, mild bitterness and some light malts. Pretty bland.
Palate: Medium bodied and crisp.,
Overall: This is one of the most bland IPAs Iíve had. Totally inoffensive. It doesnít cater to the better beers Iíve had even from "mediocre" NJ brewerys.
