Dark beer with a thin slick of a tan head. Great nose of bourbon sweetness, toasted grains and alcohol. Excellent use of a barrel to enhance a beer. The bourbon is not dominate but very present. Buttery bourbon, dark brown sugar, toast, lactose and juicy dark fruit. Long burnt grain finish with warming alcohol sense. Great beer.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of brown sugar, bourbon, cocoa, metallic notes and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, bourbon, cocoa and fruitiness with a smooth lingering bourbon finish.

Poured from a bomber into a Revolution Brewing Company pint glass darkest brown with a tan head that was huge then faded into a nice lacing down the glass. Aroma molasses. Cocoa. Slight bourbon. Flavor is chocolate sweetness with some coconut. Some coffee some booze. A bit thin to the palate but flavor is all there.

Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Appearance is dark brown almost black with a 2 finger tan head. Taste is chocolate and coffee with a slight vanilla finish. Palate is good though could be a bit more smooth. Overall another excellent brew from Revolution.

Dark brown pour at cellar temp. Just a slight tan head with lots of lacing. Nose is bourbon and chocolate and really, really nice. The beer is a bit thinner than I would like but holy hell the flavors are all there! Sweet bourbon goodness. Vanilla, toffee and just a hint of lactose in there. Yummy.

Bottle share. Thanks Jason. Dark brown, thin off-white cap. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon, wood, nuts, vanilla. Taste is sweet and bitter. Low carbonation. Dry finish from a slick mouthfeel.

22oz bomber pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Milk and bourbon aroma. As it warms chocolate and oak really come out.

Refrigerated brown bomber (Very Mad Cow), bottled on November 12, 2012, set on the counter for a bit and served in a snifter. Pours black with bark brown hightlights and small beige head. Aroma is roasted vanilla, medium body, low carbonation, and thin small bubble lacing. Taste is roasty, lots of vanilla, bourbon (more bourbon as it warms), and bitter hop finish. More of an imperial stout than a sweet stout for me.

Split a bomber with my dad and brother. Poured into a snifter, black in color with a minimal not quite toffee head. Aroma is bourbon forward with vanilla, but subdued slightly by sweet malt and roasty notes. Palate is sweet with bourbon, vanilla, brown sugar, toffee, cocoa with a lingering of bourbon of course. Overall very smooth and well rounded aged milk stout. Viva la Revolution!
