Bottle share gathering at Bruce’s. Hazy dark red - brown beer, decent tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth and mild dark malts with touches of dark chocolate and coffee. Fruity bourbon, very fruity. Woody dryness and a trace of vanilla. Finishes light and semi dry. Great flavours but they could do with a more luxuriant palate to showcase them.

Bottle... This beer can do a wheelie on a unicycle... Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The aroma furnishes a fantastic fusion of espresso, chocolate, vanilla and toasted coconut with a dark, rich cup of deeply roasted mocha. Medium to full-bodied with brisk carbonation. The flavor is a collage of dark chocolate, espresso and a splash of acidic, acrid sourmash whiskey. Finishes bittersweet (more sweet than bitter) with notes of cocoa and coffee clinging to my palate and tongue for a good while after each sip. Very nice. Way to go, Revolution! Thanks goes out to BBB63 for setting me up with this bottle of world-class beer.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, juicy, big vanilla, toasty coconut, bourbon, cocoa, coffee and roast. The taste is bitter, rich roast, earth, drying, good bit of coffee, cocoa, drying, charred wood, warming alcohol and vanilla with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate+ carbonation. I really dig the aroma. A bit boozy even. Decent.

Bottle. Pours black with a modest dark khaki head. Aromas of vanilla, coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon. Taste is similar: bourbon, coffee and vanilla nicely balanced. Nice coffee bitterness. Just shy of medium bodied; a bit thinner than I would like. Would benefit from a creamier mouthfeel, but this is good.
