Our interpretation of this classic and refreshing Belgian style ale is brewed with organic pilsner and wheat malts from Canada. Freshly ground coriander and Curacao orange peel, along with a special Wit yeast strain, contribute wonderful orange and citrus aromas and a crisp, yet silky, mouthfeel.

Pours a mostly clear gold with little yeasty chunks. Aroma of spice and sweet fruit. Flavor is wit sour with a rich malt and mild sweetness. Body is medium and satisfying. Finish is also spicy and well balanced.

Can from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Light sweet wheaty and yeasty nose, with lemon and coriander, all a bit earthy/dirty. Hazy light straw color. Full-on fruit, very zesty, light spicing, banana, and gentle bitterness in finish. Thin-medium body. Simple and pleasant.

12 oz can at home. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, yeast, coriander, orange, banana, white pepper, decent for what it is, I’m not that excited about the style.

Revolution’s Bottom Up Wit (kind of odd naming with the raised fist!) pours a great looking cloudy straw gold with a picture perfect head of dense white foam that leaves generous lacing clinging to the sides of the weizen glass. The nose is wheat & spices with lots of cloves and hints of cinnamon/coriander. It has a very nice flavor profile featuring coriander, chewy wheat, a hint of orange peal and a generous handful of spicy cloves. The mouthfeel is silky smooth but has a crisp finish that has your mouth watering for more.

12oz. can. Spicy, citric aroma, with notes of coriander, clove, orange peel, doughy yeast, sweet, honeyish, bready and lightly grainy malts, and some light tinges of lemon and banana. Hazy light-medium golden in color, can properly swirled and poured, with a fading, uneven white head. Flavor profile is predominantly spicy and sweet, with light touches of hoppy bitterness here and there amidst the Belgian-style yeast esters, with plenty of pale and wheat malt flavors throughout, finishing with a burst of clove and banana. Somewhat thin but well-carbonated palate with a very light touch of acidity and a light-medium body. This would be an amazing warm-weather beer, although it’s certainly not too bad right now, either. Thanks to Eric!

One of the better wits I’ve had. Pale straw color. Big banana aroma. I like that the taste is mostly spice coriander and orange. Not much banana at all.

On tap @ the brewpub. Cloudy dull gold, clingy white head. Yeasty wheat character, light coriander, lightly hoppy finish. Nice.

can @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Clear light amber with a rocky 1" white head, lace that slides back into the drink. Malt and wheat with an attitude begin things, adding light citrus and spice in the palate before heading to bitter in the finish. A traditional brew, but still satisfying.
