Hazy gold amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with mild fine carbonation. Light malts, mild creamy sweetness. Decent orange hops, mildly spicy. Touches of floralness and mango, more tropical fruits well buried. Light semi dry finish. Nice.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Maltier than I expected but very flavorful, balanced with caramel and toffee above nectarine and tropical stone fruit notes, finishing with citrusy, floral hops that linger long and refresh. Stunned that this is 7.5%.

Citra hero... Are you kidding me? Could this day get any better? So Iím a little jazzed up about this one, which could be a catastrophe if it doesnít pan out. Pour is ok so far... A nice light orange with s touch of haze and a thin head. Aromas are unexpectedly grassy with a little bit of peach or something. Thatís not what I was thinking would happen there... Flavor is really interesting and I am trying to figure it all out. Itís really lovely, but not quite what I hoped for. Hereís what I get: first punch is fruit, I would say peaches that transition to cantaloupe. From there it gets a bit grassy and a little bit skunky and herbal but then things straighten out fairly quickly for a tropical fruit medley in the finish. ABV is nicely hidden and just a hint of warmth is there. Mouthfeel is smooth and has a slight tingle from the carbonation in the late finish. Very fine beer, but it doesnít match my Citra expectations.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Revolution. Pours dark golden with a thick off- white head and a strong citrus aroma. There s a full-bodied mixed malt flavor dominated by the red and sime West Coast style hopping action. Damn good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with moderate white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is full of grapefruit, apricot, lemon, plus some floral hops and caramel malts. Taste is bitter, but not overly so, with malty sweetness in the middle before a long dry finish. Body is medium with average carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Very refreshing, and easily drinkable for 7.5%. Well balanced. Iím glad that Revolution didnít try to make this a citrus hop bomb. Iíve tried this one before, and am now enjoying a growler from the Kedzie brewery.
