COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Citra Hero is an elegant American IPA designed to showcase the Citra Hop variety.

We utilized 2-row, Pale Ale, Red Wheat and Belgian Aromatic malts to provide a deep golden color and clean malt profile for this hoppy ale. Multiple additions of Citra in the brew kettle infuse this beer with deep layers of citrus aroma and flavor and a clean, crisp yet intense bitterness.

After primary fermentation with our English Ale Yeast we dry-hopped with one pound per barrel of Citra once again to really load this ale up with a burst of fresh citrus fruit.

Weighing in at 7.5% ABV this ale is sturdy enough to hold up to the higher bitterness level but is still quite sessionable and exploding with fresh hop character!

Tap at Revolution. Clear golden with white head. Massive Citra hops with lime, grass and some haze marijuana. Lots of lovely matching malts with some caramel, fresh baked bread, cookies. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with slight sugary feel. Very good.

Amber. Fruity citra nose and caramel malt. Solid caramel/toasted malt backbone with pine and tropical fruit. A bit better than Anti-Hero.

Pours bright clear gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet tropical fruit aromas. Medium bodied with sweet mango and papaya upfront turning to caramel before the grapefruit pith finish.

Six pack from CBC in Amesbury. Pours out a clear medium golden color. Frothy off white head. Wonderful huge aromas. Super fresh citrus, pine and herbal spice. Flavor is smooth with interesting layers of flavor. Fruity citrus, more pine, grapefruit rind. Long bittersweet finish.

Can from Julios with free glass. Gold with chill haze long lasting head and lace. Lemon zesty tangerine floral aroma. Tropical fruit pineapple sweetness with grass and a hint of biscuit and nuts with zesty citrus bitterness and dry floral finish. Medium body with just enough carbo to accentuate hops. There is a huge problem with this beer -- I can’t make it last more than four minutes. It’s too fucking good. Glad I bought a sixpack of this. Wicked Fucking Excellent.

Nice aroma of fresh tropical fruit, some pineapple, as well as fresh cut floral notes. Nice deep yellow color with a frothy tan head....hangs a while. Sweet up front, huge fruity flavors. Almost a bit too sweet, but the bitterness cuts in nicely not too long after initial sip. Bitterness is smooth. Very drinkable, light refreshing mouth feel. Finish is well balanced, somewhat dry. Solid.

Poured from the can of several six packs smells tropical and citrus. This is sticky hoppy citrus and tropical I think this is my favorite of the hero series I will buy again if I see it but probably won’t.
