3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
@ Hyde Park Wine and Spirits / Cincinnati OH --- Cloudy light amber with a big 3" head that is slow to drop, bands of lace. Taste is a combination of sweet malt and floral hops. In the palate, a slight sour/sulfur taste is added to give it a distinctive European flavor. A full-bodied, but not heavy, brew that is a pleasure to drink.

I’ve had a bomber or few of this from the local grocery store. (Sadly, they don’t stock it anymore.) The body is clear and golden with a short-lived sudsy head. It has a warm pale malt sweetness to the aroma, candy-like, with some floral scents and a bit of funk. It tastes of a floral bitterness followed by a soft sweetness and a hint of apple. The finish is dry and mildly bitter. Pretty decent stuff.

At first this beer tasted terrible. But then it grew on me a little bit. With each sip, it got a tad bit better and better. I guess I just needed to wash out what ever flavors was in my mouth. This clear golden ale has a earthy dry taste. Its got alot of carbonation, so the bubbles stay for longer than I had expected. It has a slight dry yeasty flavor on the back end. I didn’t taste any fruity or citrus flavors at all like alot of people described. Not the best of Saison ales that I have tried, but no where near the worst. I love this brewery so its hard for me not to recommend this to anyone. Give it a shot, because in not a huge saison ale drinker.

Served in a tulip glass at the Revolution brewpub in Logan Square. Smells vaguely floral. Tastes like apples and spice, like apple cider but not sweet at all. Finishes very dry and spicy. I like this one a lot.

I wouldnt say I like saison ales, but this was a good example. Foam stayed forever and very clean taste could not believe it is 7.6 % strong.

On tap at the brewery. Good. Pours a nice solid orange. Good Belgian flavor with a bite.

Flattish amber golden pour. Smell is appa joose, candy sweetness, some banana, and black pepper. Taste is too sweet and malty with some more appa joose. Fair to not good.
