3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Poured a clear orange golden color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate hop and yeast aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another great offering from Chicago local brewer, Revolution. Aroma is malty and bready and has a bit of sourness to it. Almost like a cider but with some other fruit. Can smell the alcohol a bit. Itís a dark and cloudy, deep orangish color and has a small head that leaves very little lacing. Taste is bread, cereal and yeast with some sourness and the sweet notes are pear, maybe some apricot and wheatgrass. Itís a medium body and very smooth. Some alcohol comes through but doesnít overpower. A very nice Saison.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bomber served in a FW tulip.
A: Pours a clear golden color with light amber hues. A frothy white head forms on the pour and recedes slowly to a thin cap. Thick sheets of lace are left down the glass.
S: Musty yeast, some slight peppery notes with some peach fuzz fruitiness. There are some bready malts as well.
T: Definite yeasty must up front with an odd peach sweetness to it. Tastes like some concentrated syrup that goes into a snow cone. It definitely doesnít give off pleasant flavors as it completely wipes out the yeast and would be even more sweet if it wasnít for the cracker malts that slightly cut it.
M: Medium bodied with a slight sticky quality to it. Medium carbonation with a drying finish.
O: The syrupy sweetness in the taste was definitely off-putting and it completely dominated the other flavor components. Not that balanced. Nice on the nose. but not taste.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bomber, $10 at Square One, Chicagoís near South.Poured into a tall flute, it shows off a light amber or slightly orange body with thing layer of foam atop. Has a big malty smell with warming spices that Iím picking up at armís length while still wrestling with the menu. Taste is big malts with the expected esters of a warm ferment, The hop bitterness just slightly curls the edge of my tongue, and a note of fruit and funk thread through as well. Thereís a yeasty outline in the taste too, even before I swirl in the yeast dregs form the bottom of the bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL., and served to house stemware showing a hazed, orangy gold color, modest, soft white head foam that reduced quickly to a ring & film, and left some light, wavy lacing on the glass. The nose was light yeast, mid-fruit as apricot/peach, citrus as orange, and light spiciness. The flavor presented soft malt, some alcohol warmth, a moderate, lingering hop bitterness, with earthy & peppery notes. The body was medium, with good effervescence, and pleasant dryness complemented the bitter finish. Spot on style interpretation.
