Draft at Mikkeller bar. Blond beer with a white head. Medium carbonation. Nose of herbs and spices. Spicy taste, notes of hoppy bitterness and notes of sourness in the aftertaste.

Pours a golden with weaker white head. Aroma has orange, lemon, spices, and grass. Kind of has a bubblegumish impression as well. Taste is quite fruity and is powerful in the orange flavor. Still spicy and grassy while containing something else, I believe clove. Peppery as well. Rather strong aftertaste of oranges and lemon. Medium bodied with a thinner texture. On the sweeter side. Overall, Iím pretty happy with this.

Draft at the Revolution brewpub. Pours a honey color. Very mild aroma. Flavor is sweet fruit and spicy, but something didnít work for me. I love a good saison, but this one was missing something for me. Good mouthfeel. Overall this one was just ok. Based on the other ratings I hope to get another sample next time Iím in Chicago.

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a cloudy golden-orange with poofy white head forming at the top of the tulip glass. that leaves nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is spicy, herbal, and hoppy presumably from the dry-hop process -- a little out of character for the style. Flavor is crisp, big, and similarly herbal, spicy, meadow-y, and with quite a bit of hop bitterness -- not "IPA" bitter, but a lot more so than one would expect from the style. A light dose of sweet malt floats around in there somewhere. Medium-to-solid mouthfeel with a lightly sweet but mostly herbal-hoppy aftertaste. Interesting but Iím not sure Iíd order it again; it was a little to hop-aggressive for me and IMO that element didnít mesh well with the otherwise soft and gentle flavors of a saison.

Pours completely hazy yellow-orange with a small head that fades to a lace. Aroma is farts, pear, white pepper. Taste is spice, white pepper, pear, some tartness. Body is medium with active carbonation and a long boozy finish. Overall, this just really didntí do it for me. I love saisons, but I didnít even finish a glass of this.

On tap at their brewpub. This was a nicely hopped-up saison, with herbals and peppery spice standing out. The pour was too close to the top of the glass, leaving nothing more than a thin layer of wispy white head. The body was fairly translucent and burnt orange in color in the darker lighting. A full, hazy cloud of an aroma here, with some decent notes. Bananas, peppery spice, lots of herb, some caramel, and nutty cereal grains. The mouthfeel was peppery and bitter. This bitterness made this saison unique for sure. Mixed fruity notes up front, and peppery citrus. More of a herbal and light floral finish. Really not too bad here. Good profile, buts things didnít quite come together for me in all the right ways.

On tap at the curragh in Skokie, pours a medium orange, opaque, with a innish white head. Spicy alcohol aroma like a good Belgian. Flavor is strng and mouthy alcohol and some sort of citrus hint.

Had it on tap at Revolution brewery. Had a yellowish amber hue with a sweet Belgian aroma, light head and uneven lacing. A very sweet Belgian style beer.
