3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had it on tap at Revolution brewery. Had a yellowish amber hue with a sweet Belgian aroma, light head and uneven lacing. A very sweet Belgian style beer.

3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a slightly hazy yellow/orange with an excessive amount of stark white foamy head. Some banana and lemon zest hits right away with a nice refreshing bitter crispness to finish. Nicely complex, one of the better Saisons Iíve had.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
S: Belgian yeast, lemon citrus, clove, banana, and orange peal - all musty and spicy
A: Hazy amber, a head that quickly dissipates leaving little laciing
T: Very tasty! Belgian yeast and spice, orange and lemon
P: Fizzy carbonation, medium bodied
O: This is a bold saison, kudos Revolution.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2012 poured from tap at revolution. Poured into a tulip with a slightly hazy yellow/gold color and a nice head.
Very good aromas of spice, lemon peels, and citrus notes. Well balanced, but lacking a bit of depth.
Well balanced with a smooth medium feel. Flavorful with notes of citrus, spices and some navel oranges.
This version is at 8.1% and itís not really noticeable. A more citrusy take on a saison. The feel is a bit lighter than Iíd personally like, but this is a very good and enjoyable beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beautiful hazy golden color, white head. Funky smell almost like a sour. Definite notes of cardamom up front with a very dry finish. Lively mouth feel, apart seems like it needs a hit of lemon to finish the taste.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Citrusy, fruity and peppery aroma and taste. I would have preferred this one a little more drier than it was. It became a little overwelming instead of refreashing like a saison should be.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had this on tap at The Curragh Irish Pub in Skokie, Illinois. Made notes on the spot using BeerJournal app for Android. Served in a tulip glass. Poured a dark golden clear. Medium head with medium dissipation time. Low carbonation. Taste is slightly bitter and astringent. Hoppy, with lingering bitter aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another great offering from Chicago local brewer, Revolution. Aroma is malty and bready and has a bit of sourness to it. Almost like a cider but with some other fruit. Can smell the alcohol a bit. Itís a dark and cloudy, deep orangish color and has a small head that leaves very little lacing. Taste is bread, cereal and yeast with some sourness and the sweet notes are pear, maybe some apricot and wheatgrass. Itís a medium body and very smooth. Some alcohol comes through but doesnít overpower. A very nice Saison.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light but somewhat boozy aroma. Initially somewhat boozy flavor as well, but dissipates after a few sips. Light, malty flavor. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub. This was different than other saisons Iíve had. Didnít get much of the Belgian farmhouse funk. A bit more on the sweet side more Orange and tangerine than peppery spice. Still, not a bad one.
