On tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Cloudy deep orange almost bronze in the glass with a small eventually fading just off-white top. Not extreme on the nose but some fruitiness shines through the emptiness. A bit of farm with some leafs and strawberry gel,. Lively carbo, oily mouthfeel. It’s dry, almost grape-dry actually. Some white vine, melon zest, cantaloupe, yeast, really astringent finish. Not allmightyquenchable, but more in the alright genre. One hand rating outside Mikkeller Bar. 03.05.2013

Pour is a murky tan with a large white head. Aroma is very fruity with some yeast and hops. Flavor starts out with very spicy hops and follows with a bit of lemon grass. Finish is a bit dry and thin. The beer is decent and has plenty to offer just nothing over the top.

Very nice saison. Yellow to cloudy gold appearance with healthy head. Pepper, orange peel flavor. A aroma alcohol and pear.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast, grainy/rice malt, and spices. Flavor of yeast, bready malt, lots of spices (pepper) in the background, some tangy citrus. A good, spicy saison. 7/4/8/4/14 [3.7/5]

Bomber from Pace High Carryout ($7.99). Gold pour with huge frothy white head that takes forever to recede. Aroma of wheat, citrus, spice, perfume, floral, hay. Tastes are grape, spice, yeasty, citrus, pepper, wheat bread, coriander. Very slight background tart. Lots going on. Little metallic vibe, but not necessarily in a bad way. Feels like a sipper but goes down easy.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours light hazy deep gold color with a 2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apricot, lemon, peach, pear, apple, light banana, clove, coriander, herbal, wheat, bread, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of apricot, lemon, peach, pear, apple, light banana, clove, coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light amount of earthy yeast spice/hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, lemon, peach, pear, apple, light banana, clove, coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, balance, and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice French saison. All around good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

The beer pours a cloudy orange with a nice white head, good retention and lacing. The aroma is light, a little more citrus than you would expect in a saison, with a little wheat, and a slight bitter finish. The server described as super sweet, it was sweet for a saison but not super sweet, nor do I think its a traditional saison. The taste is also pretty light starting off with some citrus, then finishes with a slight sour bitter finish. Decent feel, nice carbonation and a fine dry finish. Overall, pretty good, a sweeter take on a saison.

On tap at the brewpub. Orange hazy. Nice head of medium bubbles which dissipates rather quickly. Fresh, fruity nose w/ a bunch of a lavender baby powder character. Light to medium bodied. Lightly tart and crisp w/ just a hair to much bitterness (which is really not distracting). Vigorous carbonation. If you like hoppy saisons, this is a good one.

Draft at Revolution. Pours a glowing, slightly hazy gold with fluffy offwhite head. Nose is nice, though a touch of cloves is not quite right. Fresh hops jump out, as well as citrusy and spicy notes. On taste, it is full flavored and full bodied with notes of the spicy hops shooting through with a quenching bitterness. Finishes dry. Damn fine saison, this one.

Bottle at Dan’s, courtesy of Armin. Big thanks man! Pour is hazy lemon in appearance with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Tart lemon peel, wheat, white pepper, light pineapple, yeast, and pear in the aroma. Taste is very spicy, bread, pepper, light pineapple, booze, citrus, and band-aid. Nice. Mouthfeel is medium with high carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff.
