aroms is apricot/tangerine, salty sour peach and yeast. appearance is ultra hazy peach with blasting foam head and wicket lacing but low carb. flavor is initially fost nectarines then light sour/funky backend comes forward. yeast is not outright but influence is there. mouthfeel is similar foamy as appearance, thick and oxygenated despite low carb.

Sampled at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest. Lemon, spicy, malty flavors. Very nice saison. This was my favorite beer at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest.

Tap flight at the brewery. Clear, dark golden pour, minimal head. Aroma of spice, yeast, and hops. Flavorful brew. Spice drops mixed with a mild hop background. Slippery mouthfeel. Nice .

22 oz bottle purchased from West Lakeview in Chicago. Poured a nice gold with minimal white head. A very nice spiciness in it, definitely not overwhelming but certainly delicious. I really liked this.

22 oz bottle from Treasure Island foods, Hyde Park, Chicago. Pours a hazy golden color with small white head. Aroma is full of yeast, apricot, cloves, grass, and something from a barnyard. Taste is sweet at first, then spicy, and finally driy. Medium body with enough carbonation to keep the mouthfeel lively. A very good saison, made in the warehouse where I worked for 6 years (it was a computer recycling center before it became a brewery).

Hazy yellow with a nice head. The aroma is noble hops, some light spice, and yeast esters. The flavor is similar with with a slightly tart, somewhat sweet finish. Very refreshing, well done.

22 oz. bomber served in a FW tulip. A: Pours a clear golden color with light amber hues. A frothy white head forms on the pour and recedes slowly to a thin cap. Thick sheets of lace are left down the glass. S: Musty yeast, some slight peppery notes with some peach fuzz fruitiness. There are some bready malts as well. T: Definite yeasty must up front with an odd peach sweetness to it. Tastes like some concentrated syrup that goes into a snow cone. It definitely doesn’t give off pleasant flavors as it completely wipes out the yeast and would be even more sweet if it wasn’t for the cracker malts that slightly cut it. M: Medium bodied with a slight sticky quality to it. Medium carbonation with a drying finish. O: The syrupy sweetness in the taste was definitely off-putting and it completely dominated the other flavor components. Not that balanced. Nice on the nose. but not taste. Draft at Mikkeller bar. Blond beer with a white head. Medium carbonation. Nose of herbs and spices. Spicy taste, notes of hoppy bitterness and notes of sourness in the aftertaste.

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a cloudy golden-orange with poofy white head forming at the top of the tulip glass. that leaves nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is spicy, herbal, and hoppy presumably from the dry-hop process -- a little out of character for the style. Flavor is crisp, big, and similarly herbal, spicy, meadow-y, and with quite a bit of hop bitterness -- not "IPA" bitter, but a lot more so than one would expect from the style. A light dose of sweet malt floats around in there somewhere. Medium-to-solid mouthfeel with a lightly sweet but mostly herbal-hoppy aftertaste. Interesting but I’m not sure I’d order it again; it was a little to hop-aggressive for me and IMO that element didn’t mesh well with the otherwise soft and gentle flavors of a saison.

Pours completely hazy yellow-orange with a small head that fades to a lace. Aroma is farts, pear, white pepper. Taste is spice, white pepper, pear, some tartness. Body is medium with active carbonation and a long boozy finish. Overall, this just really didnt’ do it for me. I love saisons, but I didn’t even finish a glass of this.
