Tap at rev... Pours a seemingly glowing tangerine orange with a quickly fading frothy white head... Assertive aroma of bright citrus notes, tangerine, and a touch of yeast... Flavors maintain that citrus profile which quickly develops into more of a hoppy earthy drying bitterness with some pepper in the finish. Outside of some prickly pepper, not much else in terms of spice. Carbonation pretty lively which seems to be a common trend... Not bad at all.

Sampled at the brewpub. Cloudy gold. No head. Grass and yeast aroma. This is also a bit buttery as well as the above. This is quite malty and has some nice fruit. A bit of spice puts this over the top. Nice.

I do love me some Spalt. An ale that is spicy from the hops and yeast rather than kitchen-cabinet nonsense. Spicy hop aroma and flavor, going quite dry with a light malty sweetness for balance. Nice stuff. Unnecessarily strong, perhaps.

Pours a golden with weaker white head. Aroma has orange, lemon, spices, and grass. Kind of has a bubblegumish impression as well. Taste is quite fruity and is powerful in the orange flavor. Still spicy and grassy while containing something else, I believe clove. Peppery as well. Rather strong aftertaste of oranges and lemon. Medium bodied with a thinner texture. On the sweeter side. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Hazy medium gold, average white head in our plastic go-cups. Spicy yeasty profile, bready biscuity malts. Solid.

Draft at Mikkeller bar. Blond beer with a white head. Medium carbonation. Nose of herbs and spices. Spicy taste, notes of hoppy bitterness and notes of sourness in the aftertaste.

650 ml bottle courtesy of josh. Thanks. Pours a hazy yellow color with a big sudsy white head that has good retention. The aroma is big with Belgian yeasts, spices, floral and white fruits. The taste is spicy and fruity with pears, peaches, pepper, coriander and citrus. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long and dry. Overall: Solid saison

On tap at their brewpub. This was a nicely hopped-up saison, with herbals and peppery spice standing out. The pour was too close to the top of the glass, leaving nothing more than a thin layer of wispy white head. The body was fairly translucent and burnt orange in color in the darker lighting. A full, hazy cloud of an aroma here, with some decent notes. Bananas, peppery spice, lots of herb, some caramel, and nutty cereal grains. The mouthfeel was peppery and bitter. This bitterness made this saison unique for sure. Mixed fruity notes up front, and peppery citrus. More of a herbal and light floral finish. Really not too bad here. Good profile, buts things didn’t quite come together for me in all the right ways.
