On tap at Revolution. Hazy orange with a small fizzy white head, fades quickly. Aroma is moderate malts with notes of wild yeast, light fruit, bananas, clove, caramel. Flavor is lighter than the aroma - barnyard/earth, citrus, cloves.

Tap at Revolution Brewing, Milwaulkee Ave, Chicago. Poured a clear medium amber with a round white head. The aroma is yeast and citrus fruit. The flavour is medium sour with a surprisingly malty caramel acid citrus palate. A somewhat different saison!

At first this beer tasted terrible. But then it grew on me a little bit. With each sip, it got a tad bit better and better. I guess I just needed to wash out what ever flavors was in my mouth. This clear golden ale has a earthy dry taste. Its got alot of carbonation, so the bubbles stay for longer than I had expected. It has a slight dry yeasty flavor on the back end. I didn’t taste any fruity or citrus flavors at all like alot of people described. Not the best of Saison ales that I have tried, but no where near the worst. I love this brewery so its hard for me not to recommend this to anyone. Give it a shot, because in not a huge saison ale drinker.

@ Hyde Park Wine and Spirits / Cincinnati OH --- Cloudy light amber with a big 3" head that is slow to drop, bands of lace. Taste is a combination of sweet malt and floral hops. In the palate, a slight sour/sulfur taste is added to give it a distinctive European flavor. A full-bodied, but not heavy, brew that is a pleasure to drink.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a clear orange color with a white head. The aroma was of hops and yeast with a medium body and a slick texture with flat carbonation. The taste was bittersweet with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet light grains with a bit of Belgian yeast and light fruits. Flavor is similar with sweet light earthy fruits, sweet grains and a nice Belgian yeast.

On tap, poured into a sampler. The aroma is a strong honey and tropical character. Later on, a touch of "sweat" comes through along with a grassy note. The beer is a foggy orange-gold color with a thin white ring of dense head and a few light wisps on the surface. It also has a light, runny lace that leaves a clean glass. The taste is a medium high sweet and bitter balance. The viscous beer contains small-bubble, fizzy carbonation. The medium full body has flavors of honey, citrus rind, buttery pie crust, white pepper, and a touch of candy and resin. It finishes with notes of the pie crust, spice, and a crisp, light pine zest. There’s a lingering funkiness in the dough batter and herb aftertaste along with some pepper.
