Crisp golden ale with a delicate hop finish. This is our lightest ale and it is brewed with a bit wheat malt for body and Munich and Aromatic malts for and undertone of honey-like sweetness. Lightly dry-hopped with Cascade hops for that classic American golden ale aroma.

Draft at Union Station bar, whatever they’re calling it now.Thin draft head., a mild nose with toasty malts. Solid ale taste without the extra sweetness that I sometimes get with a blond ale. Helped, no doubt, by its palatable dose of American hops. Light ale esters, tickley carbonation.

Bottle picked up at Binny’s and drunk in Japan after my summer 2012 trip home. A gold pour with a light white head. I’d wanted to try some local Chicago beers & I think Revolution had just started bottling then. Overall, it was a decent ale, the flavor profile was closer to a hoppy lage with less fruitiness than I was expecting. Clean, well-made but ultimately a bit average. A beer for everyday drinking as opposed to special occasions.

Bottle - clearing up some backlog. Bit of a gusher on opening. Pours hazy butterscotch with a large off-white head that eventually dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is honey, grain, corn. Flavor is the same, light sweet, bit of mint, grass - not a lot of Cascade character. Highly carbonated, medium body.

Bottle:   Dated what looks like Oct 2012.   Darker straw, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Soft semi-sweet straw/hay on the nose.   A touch fruity.   Soft semi-sweet straw and hay up front, a little wheaty on the backside.   Clean, touch of citrus sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Gets a little mealy on the finish, but not enough to detract.   Light, a little sweet, spritzy, better than expected.   Thanks Kevin!

Draft pint at Skylark in Chicago after FOBAB. Consumed about 60% before knocking the rest into my lap. Wisely cut myself off after that. Pours a clear golden color with a bit of eggshell white head. Clean pale and somewhat sweet malts, a bit of straw, mellow grassy and citrusy hops, and some wheat. Light-bodied, with mellow carbonation and a clean mouthfeel. Nice, fresh, and bright.
