3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Warren’s Ale House in Wheaton, IL., and dispensed to a tulip with a hazed, amber/gold color, and a decent crown of off white head foam that reduced somewhat rapidly to a ring & film, but left some stubbornly clingy, web-like lacing on the glass. The nose started with a bit of resin, then introduced expressive grapefruit, tangerine, and some tropical notes. The taste followed with medium, fruity & citrusy, lingering hop bitterness, a touch of sweetness, and creamy malt that tempered the hop, but also presented some silkiness to the mouth feel. Medium bodied, clean & tasty, with a little alcohol warmth melded in toward the finish.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 6, 2014 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was a recent release. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of huge mango, tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness. Outstanding aromas with huge complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt balance; with great strength. Taste of big mango, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of floral/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, tangerine, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity of bright juicy citrus/tropical hops with moderate pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome IPA. All around great complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Printer’s Row Wine Shop, 6/3/14
Aroma: It has a light nose of fruity hops, clean, crystal malts, and some pine notes
Appearance: It pours a clear, bright orange color with a thin head and minimal lace
Flavor: The flavor is lightly sweet, clean malt flavor, and a mid-plus hop bitterness as well
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, it has a smooth, clean feel, and a mid-dry finish
I thought this was a very solid beer, but at the same time, I just wanted it to be a little better. There isn’t too much going on aroma-wise, and the appearance is only okay. Overall though, this beer is solid enough to get a score this high from me.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear golf with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has notes of resinous pine and grass with some earthy grain backing as well as a hint of onion. Flavor is more mild with lots of grass, a bit of onion and light grains backing.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Town Hall in Ohio City / Cleveland. One of the best IPA’s I’ve tried in a long time - clear orange brew with distinctive aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is mild sweetness at the start and an immense and complex hoppiness that is just excellent. I was going to try a few other brews on the menu but stuck with this.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 15, 2014 Clear golden orange with almost no head. Smells like tangerine, a touch of marijuana. Very clean body, big grapefruit flavor with hints of orange peel. Refreshing, but not complex enough to really stand out.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had on tap at Small Bar Logan Square. This IPA has a great fruity nose and citrus/pine sap feel to the taste. Perfect drinking for a late spring evening - a real thirst quencher that goes down a treat with a good touch of bitterness on the back end.
