COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Double Pale Ale with juicy citrus hop flavor from Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook hops. We started with the idea of doubling-down on our Iron Fist pale ale recipe, made a few tweaks and ended up with this great beer. Although the name says otherwise, we recommend one at time.

Poured a clear dark orange color. The head was white and reduced relatively quickly to a thin film. Balanced malt and hop aromas; caramel, cereal grain and citrus fruit mostly. Medium bodied and slightly sweet.

Pours a clear light reddish brown with a thin head on tap at the tap room. Aroma is sweet and sharply hoppy. Flavor is an immediate attack of alcoholic citra with a bit of a watery throat. Mellowed down the glass.

Clear copper pour with a nice cream colored head. Aroma is fantastic. Smells like a handful of hops. Piney, earthy, spicy, and citrusy with some malt in the background. Taste is resinous, piney, spicy, and citrus rind. Lingering bitterness. Very good beer.

Dark copper with a small white head. Spicy hop nose: pine, grapefruit rind, leather, a little bubblegum. Moderate bitterness that slowly grows, finishing dry with some rye bread and caramel sweetness as it warms in the tail end.

This poured a dark yellow to range color with a biege head. Aroma was of Triple C hops, alcohol, ans some lighlty oxidized pale malt. Flavor was lots of booze, hop bitterness and lgiht fruity notes, and caramel and toffee in the finish. Meh.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear orange-amber color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter citrusy hops character and notes of grainy malt and pine. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

22oz bottle. Clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of citrus, pine, tropical fruit, caramel and light alcohol. Flavor is sweet caramel malt balanced with some bitter hops and light alcohol heat. Medium body with average carbonation. Really nice beer, lots of hop character with a malty sweet kick.

Tap at Revolution Brewpub, Chicago - 04/11/12. Clear mid amber with a thin off white head, good lacing ensues. Bitter grapefruit at the fore of the nose, mango, pine, hops and caramel malt. Tastes of bitter aggressive hops, pine, tropical fruits, bitter grapefruit, tangy, hoppy, piney goodness! Medium to fuller in body with soft carbonation and fairly smooth. Really enjoyed this one, probably my favourite of the beers I sampled at Revolution, akin to a DIPA in many respects.

Draft. Poured hazy golden amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations were met with a solid brew.
