3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Pours a coppery amber hue with a nice fluffy head and left excellent lacework upon the glass. The nose is slightly dank, resiny, piney, juicy and spicy hops along with biscuity and caramel malts. A bit of an earthy yeast estery character as well. The taste is nicely citric and as a lovely balance with the malt base. Thing is it is perhaps too balanced for it’s own good for the crisp refreshing nature of the classic PNW hops seem a tad lost and muddled. A metallic and coppery hop spice finish. The mouth feel is aggressive and far drier than expected. A very brew but nothing I have not had before.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 ounce bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a slightly hazy copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like pine and citrusy (grapefruit, tropical fruit) hops, and some caramel malt. Taste is just like the aroma, it’s full of pine/citrusy hops and caramel malt. There’s also a nice lingering piney bitter hop finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and sticky with good carbonation. I think this is a good overall brew. $8.99 a bomber.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
There is a minimal foam head. The scent is very nice. It is hoppy, malty, and has a citrus aroma with pine notes. I taste malts, oranges, hops, and a light sweet quality. The finish is a mild bitter which does not keep its strength. Overall the Double Fist is a nicely balanced brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Pours a darker amber color with a light tan head. Lots of orange rind in the nose. Nice malty backbone with some sweetness and then a nice citrus rind bitterness kicks in. Solid. Medium mouthfeel.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Antioch Fine Wine. Pours orangey copper with a white head leaving drops of lace all the way down the glass. Aroma has citrus, resin, pine and garlic with faint caramel. Taste is of pineapple, oranges, sweet caramel and cereal grain, with a tangy garlic/onion component. Very chewy and resinous. A bit rough. Finishes long and bitter/herbaceous. Tasty. Many layers showing throughout the glass and emphasized at different points.

22 oz bottle. Clear copper with a webby white head. Nose is toffee, grapefruit, tangerine and pine. Thick and resiny with a bracing tang. Taste is broiled grapefruit with brown sugar, tea and juicy lemonade. A sweet citrus blast with a resiny bite.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served with a clear, deep amber color, a small hat of soft white head froth, and wavey cling to the lacing. The nose was some grain, expressive citrus & pine, and earthy/ripe fruit scent. Ditto on the flavor, with a medium body, medium hop strength, balancing malt to squelch any hop harshness, and a nice alcohol burn. Decent double punch.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Bottled 12/5/12. Consumed 12/9/12. Nice resiny hop nose. Tropical fruit hops, and an interesting biscuity malt profile. Clear red / orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent lace. Smooth, light carbonation. Creamy, dry texture, bigger body. Nice pine notes. Juicy hops. Grassy and dank. Some kiwi, pineapple, light grapefruit. Maybe even little mint. Good light bitter taste. Nice resiny bready aftertaste. At first I assumed this was basically an IPA based off the sound of it, but this is something different... Unusual hop flavor here.
