A Double Pale Ale with juicy citrus hop flavor from Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook hops. We started with the idea of doubling-down on our Iron Fist pale ale recipe, made a few tweaks and ended up with this great beer. Although the name says otherwise, we recommend one at time.

Bomber from Antioch Fine Wine. Pours orangey copper with a white head leaving drops of lace all the way down the glass. Aroma has citrus, resin, pine and garlic with faint caramel. Taste is of pineapple, oranges, sweet caramel and cereal grain, with a tangy garlic/onion component. Very chewy and resinous. A bit rough. Finishes long and bitter/herbaceous. Tasty. Many layers showing throughout the glass and emphasized at different points.

22 oz bottle. Clear copper with a webby white head. Nose is toffee, grapefruit, tangerine and pine. Thick and resiny with a bracing tang. Taste is broiled grapefruit with brown sugar, tea and juicy lemonade. A sweet citrus blast with a resiny bite.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served with a clear, deep amber color, a small hat of soft white head froth, and wavey cling to the lacing. The nose was some grain, expressive citrus & pine, and earthy/ripe fruit scent. Ditto on the flavor, with a medium body, medium hop strength, balancing malt to squelch any hop harshness, and a nice alcohol burn. Decent double punch.

Poured from 22oz bomber into imperial pint glass. Pours amber with not much head. Smells of pine and citrus, good mouthfeel. flavor is fantastic-lots of hops nice bitter finish. This is a well balanced hopped PA with a complex hop profile.

22oz bottle. Bottled 12/5/12. Consumed 12/9/12. Nice resiny hop nose. Tropical fruit hops, and an interesting biscuity malt profile. Clear red / orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent lace. Smooth, light carbonation. Creamy, dry texture, bigger body. Nice pine notes. Juicy hops. Grassy and dank. Some kiwi, pineapple, light grapefruit. Maybe even little mint. Good light bitter taste. Nice resiny bready aftertaste. At first I assumed this was basically an IPA based off the sound of it, but this is something different... Unusual hop flavor here.

@ Jake Melnick’s Chicago. deep amber colour, short lived head with no lace. On the nose and on the palate, this beer is a delicious hop explosion, tons of grapefruit and pine, with an aggressive bitter finish. So good!

Bomber. Poured clear medium orange with a sticky beige head. The aroma picked up orange meat and zest plus peppery notes over sweet caramel and light biscuity notes.. solid. The flavor found orange meat and caramel at the core with peppery notes and spruce laced throughout.. finished grainy with more pepper and orange extract. Medium-plus bodied with an ok feel and flow through the palate.. spicy.. good overall but not great.

Bottle thanks to motortoddhead! Thanks brotha! Deep copper, almost brown. Great piney/grapefruit nose with background onion/garlic, caramel malt, and faint berry. Flavor is a semi-sticky caramel malt interwoven with pine, grapefruit, and light onion/garlic. Nice dry bitter finish with grapefruit/citrus zest. Medium-ish+ mouthfeel. Somewhat creamy, from the hop abundance. Great stuff.
