4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to motortoddhead! Thanks brotha! Deep copper, almost brown. Great piney/grapefruit nose with background onion/garlic, caramel malt, and faint berry. Flavor is a semi-sticky caramel malt interwoven with pine, grapefruit, and light onion/garlic. Nice dry bitter finish with grapefruit/citrus zest. Medium-ish+ mouthfeel. Somewhat creamy, from the hop abundance. Great stuff.

Clear copper pour with a nice cream colored head. Aroma is fantastic. Smells like a handful of hops. Piney, earthy, spicy, and citrusy with some malt in the background. Taste is resinous, piney, spicy, and citrus rind. Lingering bitterness. Very good beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear orange-amber color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter citrusy hops character and notes of grainy malt and pine. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Revolution Brewpub, Chicago - 04/11/12.
Clear mid amber with a thin off white head, good lacing ensues.
Bitter grapefruit at the fore of the nose, mango, pine, hops and caramel malt.
Tastes of bitter aggressive hops, pine, tropical fruits, bitter grapefruit, tangy, hoppy, piney goodness!
Medium to fuller in body with soft carbonation and fairly smooth.
Really enjoyed this one, probably my favourite of the beers I sampled at Revolution, akin to a DIPA in many respects.
