A Double Pale Ale with juicy citrus hop flavor from Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook hops. We started with the idea of doubling-down on our Iron Fist pale ale recipe, made a few tweaks and ended up with this great beer. Although the name says otherwise, we recommend one at time.

Deep amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet malts, hoppy, citrus, resin, pine. Biscuity malt in the aroma, citrus, light pine, caramel, spice. Chewy with a nice bite. A tad sweet for me but good anyhow.

Fan freaking tastic!!! A gift from BigIrishFan! Thanks. My first beer from Revolution and I have to say WOW. Beautiful pour. Deep crystal clear red. Wonderful creamy head. Smells of hops....citrus, earthy resiny pine. Really balanced. Malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Perfect mouthfeel.

Dark copper with red hues. The aroma is fairly balanced between Cascade, Amarillo, and caramel. The flavor is mostly sweet at first, with some light alcohol, hop flavor, and softening bitterness. Sweet but satisfying finish. Pretty good.

3/1/2013. Pours an orange-amber with a thin white head. Aroma is vinous, fruity, sour, tart, earthy. Taste is vinous, fruity, grapes, sweet; big sour finish; very nice. Bubbly. Chewy. Flavorful. Really complex and busy. Lots going on here. Impressively made. Drinkable.

Bomber. Pours a clear bright amber color with a nice 1 cm head that fades slowly. Nice aroma of hops and malt. Citrus, hop spiciness, caramel malt, bread, and biscuits. Taste is a bit hop forward, lots of citrus and spicy hops. Finish is maltier, bitter, and very dry. A bit too dry but pretty tasty overall.

Nice clean hop aroma, pours a clear amber with a full white head. Moderate hop presence, with just a touch of malt backbone. Very full bodied, with a lingering hop presence. Not the full bore hop bomb I was expecting, but a very solid beer.

Really solid double pale ale (definitely not imperial ipa). Smells well balanced of sweet citrus and slight bready malt. Tasted decently bitter and incredibly smooth. Very refreshing and quite tasty ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Pours a coppery amber hue with a nice fluffy head and left excellent lacework upon the glass. The nose is slightly dank, resiny, piney, juicy and spicy hops along with biscuity and caramel malts. A bit of an earthy yeast estery character as well. The taste is nicely citric and as a lovely balance with the malt base. Thing is it is perhaps too balanced for it’s own good for the crisp refreshing nature of the classic PNW hops seem a tad lost and muddled. A metallic and coppery hop spice finish. The mouth feel is aggressive and far drier than expected. A very brew but nothing I have not had before.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a slightly hazy copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like pine and citrusy (grapefruit, tropical fruit) hops, and some caramel malt. Taste is just like the aroma, it’s full of pine/citrusy hops and caramel malt. There’s also a nice lingering piney bitter hop finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and sticky with good carbonation. I think this is a good overall brew. $8.99 a bomber.

There is a minimal foam head. The scent is very nice. It is hoppy, malty, and has a citrus aroma with pine notes. I taste malts, oranges, hops, and a light sweet quality. The finish is a mild bitter which does not keep its strength. Overall the Double Fist is a nicely balanced brew.
