A Double Pale Ale with juicy citrus hop flavor from Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook hops. We started with the idea of doubling-down on our Iron Fist pale ale recipe, made a few tweaks and ended up with this great beer. Although the name says otherwise, we recommend one at time.

Look: pours a dark orange. Off white head. Very clear. Smell: citrus fruit, tropical fruit. Sweet oranges. Grapefruit. Mango. Passion fruit. Sweet candied oranges. Taste: grapefruit. Oranges. Mango. Passion fruit. Feel: medium carbonation. Not as dry as I expected for a IIPA. Overall: nice beer very sneaky for the style. First drank: home 4/19/15 Vintage:

A very tasty IPA with rich malty notes and mildly bitter hoppiness. Pours a dark golden with a thick head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz Bottle. Tasted on 3/19/15. Bottle from West Lakeview Liquor. Aroma is strong with tropical & light citrus notes. Taste is smooth & well balanced with a nice hop bite. Nice overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, pours a clear dark amber red with an off white head and lacing in the glass, aroma has a slight citrus touch but also has a nice sweetness of malt and caramel as well, flavor has more malt and caramel than I was expecting, hops don’t really show, kind of sweet and boozy, really meh.

On tap at the brewpub. Nice beer. Clean, easy to drink....lots of hops but not overly killer. Nice use of not-super-overpowering hops.

Revolution calls this a doulbe pale ale, which apparently means it’s a IIPA that’s a little too sweet, which is too bad since this does have a very nice hop character to it. It is an amber orange beer w/ a foamy head and patchy lacing. It smell of sweet oranges and melon w/ just a hint of some savory pine notes in the background. This is a little bit sweet and full-bodied, which makes it come off as a bit heavy which doesn’t really work for me for hoppy beers. The sweetness does serve to bring out some additional juicy citrus character and richer, woodier pine notes so it’s not all bad but overall but I think this beer would be improved quite a lot by being somewhat more dry. .

Draft at Revolution Brewing. Pours a clear dark golden color witha small off white head. The aroma and flavor have resiny, grapefruit hops, toasted bread, caramel, solid drinking dipa, not the biggest, not more than moderate bitterness, but good.

5oz pour at the Revolution brew pub pours a clear, dark orange with some lacing, white head. Nose has gobs of pine sap, pithy citrus, some candy, a little honey comb. Flavor follows, sticky orange juice, some honey comb, loads of pine, soapy. Big, sticky, bitter finish.
