3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the brewpub. Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma of citrusy and resinous and floral hops, plus a lot of caramel and pale malts, and dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the most balanced beer but not bad.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap into tulip at the brewpub. Translucent copper with sticky but feathery dense head. Dusty hops at first smell, with it styling into a bright, almost melony aroma over water cracker maltiness. I love the mouthfeel on this; a lightly acidic burst waters the mouth at first, hitting under the sides of the tongue; then a lightly sudsy, velvety feel through the swallow, with the finish tingly on top of the tongue. The flavor is mostly packed in the finish and is layered -- tangy and just-bitter-enough hops at first, then another acid kick, then some brightness settling into chewy fruits (apricot, some apple) and a Graham cracker-like maltiness. Tingle and dryness play with the fruits for a long time after each mouthful. Not as juicy as the west coast style, but kind of like a double IPA mixed with some british barleywine.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Amber colored pour dirties my glass with white head and lace all over the damn place. Smells boozy as caramelized malts stake their claim to my senses. Boozy and malty with citric hops. Juicy hops melt into the hearty malt backbone, imparting exactly the flavor profile I love in DIPAs. I dig.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at the brewpub. Clear copper with an off white ring. I smell citrus with crystal style malts. A big and fomplex hop blam from the first. Huge fitrus. Huge tropical. Pine and floral, too. Resin. B l a m. In your face, up the nose, out your ass hops. Just good. Malts? We don’t need no stinkin’ malts.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle via Archer Liquors, Chicago...pours a dark muddy brown color with a large frothy java colored head. Nose is hoppy, bitter with some citrus. Taste is bitter with strong citrus, pine and resin. Finishes on the same tasting notes, with a moderately long finish. Great Pale Ale, a style correction please. Great beer from a consistently great microbrewery. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Tap. Pours hazy deep golden with an average, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, lemon zest, caramel and piney notes. Sweet flavor that ends dry and solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. An excellent ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Neons. Pours a semi-cloudy tea amber with a small taupe head that laces the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, florals, sweet malts, pineapple, and pine resin. Flavor of tea, lemon, grapefruit, pine, toast, leaves, and straw. Starts fruity and finishes dry but stays moderately bitter throughout. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Double IPA, maybe?

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours copper mostly clear with a decent beige head. The aroma brings a subtle citrus spritz. The body is quite juicy, big lemon hop flavors are nice with a pleasant malty backbone.
