4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really heavy stuff. I find I am often dissapointed by things that proclaim themselves to be "american strong ales" but end up being watery and thin. This beer does not have that problem, its juciy, full bodied, sticky, and boozy...and overall I would say those are good things. However, it falls short of greatness due to a sour soapy finish in the hop profile. I am sure some people like that, but I dont.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, pours a clear dark amber red with an off white head and lacing in the glass, aroma has a slight citrus touch but also has a nice sweetness of malt and caramel as well, flavor has more malt and caramel than I was expecting, hops donít really show, kind of sweet and boozy, really meh.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Nice beer. Clean, easy to drink....lots of hops but not overly killer. Nice use of not-super-overpowering hops.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Revolution calls this a doulbe pale ale, which apparently means itís a IIPA thatís a little too sweet, which is too bad since this does have a very nice hop character to it. It is an amber orange beer w/ a foamy head and patchy lacing. It smell of sweet oranges and melon w/ just a hint of some savory pine notes in the background. This is a little bit sweet and full-bodied, which makes it come off as a bit heavy which doesnít really work for me for hoppy beers. The sweetness does serve to bring out some additional juicy citrus character and richer, woodier pine notes so itís not all bad but overall but I think this beer would be improved quite a lot by being somewhat more dry. .

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Revolution Brewing. Pours a clear dark golden color witha small off white head. The aroma and flavor have resiny, grapefruit hops, toasted bread, caramel, solid drinking dipa, not the biggest, not more than moderate bitterness, but good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
5oz pour at the Revolution brew pub pours a clear, dark orange with some lacing, white head. Nose has gobs of pine sap, pithy citrus, some candy, a little honey comb. Flavor follows, sticky orange juice, some honey comb, loads of pine, soapy. Big, sticky, bitter finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange/ amber body, loaded with juicy orange and grapefruit citrus that picks top a hint of a caramel note, finishing with well-intergrated, spicy hops. Finish lingers long with the large abv hidden with precision. Arguably the best single offering from this up and coming brewery.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy medium body. Big floral hop aroma. Taste is a dry resin with a good amount of pineapple. Ended up bringing a bottle of this home since it was pretty good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: Draft at the Milwaukee Ave Brewpub, 7/16/14
Aroma: The aroma is pine/resin, citrus hops, orange, grapefruit, and a little of bready malt
Appearance: It pours a clear amber-orange color with a small head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly bitter, citrusy, with a light malty sweetness, and a bitter close
Palate: The body is medium-plus, mildly sticky on the mouth, and it finishes pretty dry
This is a good citrus flavored DIPA, with a nice bitterness to it. Another one from my trip to Revolution that I thuroughly enjoyed.
