3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich and robust, yet not overly thick or filling, showing delicious roasted malt flavors of chocolate. Medium hop presence and abv is covered well, this is highly sessionable and warming.

Can from Findlay Wine Merchant. This is a nice porter. Pours a medium porter brown with a tan head. Nose is roasted malts, earth, chocolate, cocoa, and mild coffee. Flavor follows with roasted malts, chocolate, earth, some cocoa, and mild coffee with lingering earthy chocolate into the finish. Light/medium in body and really nice overall.

Was an extra from markwise—thanks, sir! Can’t believe there isn’t a photo of this on the database. I too can’t believe I didn’t try any Revolution stuff when I journeyed to Chicago. Can, regular sized. Pours a charcoal dark brown strongly resembling black, into that Red Sox pint I’ve now used four times in my life. Its head is a khaki shade and is four fingers in length. Damn. Smells pleasantly of dark and milk chocolates, noble hops, almond butter, skim milk, cocoa, soybeans, ash, and caramel. First gulp: dark chocolate, soy, charcoal, hops, daisy flowers and molasses. Second gulp: salted butter, almond chocolate milk, German yeast and dates. Fuck this is good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can, thanks a lot CanIHave4Beers. Pours pitch black with a slightly orange tinged tan head. Milk chocolate comes through in the nose like Whoppers candy. There is also some decent coffee roast. Caramel hides behind the other smells. Coffee is up front with the first taste. Then I started to get a little bit of malt and dark chocolate flavors. Tobacco and hints of peanuts are in the slightly prune like finish. A nice roasted porter, but that sweet type prune finish is a little off putting. Still, this is a fairly solid porter.

12 oz can. Pours black with brown head. Good roasted aroma with a hint of alcohol. Moderate roasted malt flavor along with coffee and chocolate. Very smooth with no harsh bitterness and good body and carbonation. Roasted smoky hints in the finish. Very tasty brew.

Drank in the can thanks to salukialum. Pours a dark brown appearance with a creamy brown head. Rich dark chocolate, bakers cocoa, roasty maty, light vanilla aroma. A bit thin. Richly roasted chocolate malty, light coffee, a touch burnt flavor. Pretty tasty dessert beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown pour with a tan head. Sort of metallic aroma, plenty of roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. A little bit grassy and lightly sweet from some toffee notes. Tastes of roasted malt and coffee for the most part. A little bit metallic, some grass, dark chocolate, and mild toffee and molasses sweetness.

Traded can. Really nice porter. Lots of great chocolate and coffee like you’d expect but also a hint of hops to balance things out nicely. Well done and easy drinking.

This is a satisfactory Porter in my opinion. Lot’s of flavor, minimal carbonation. A good beer, made right, is a wonderful thing.
