3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black and very thick with a medium deep tan head that leaves considerable lacing during its quick dissipation into a film. Aroma is quite enticing - chocolate chip cookies in the oven, dark chocolate, roasted malts...hint of something burnt - pretty solid overall. Flavor is a combination of sweet and roasted malts, dark chocolate, some hints of bittering hops, splash of smokiness, while remaining sweet overall. Palate is full and smooth and mildly carbonated. Ok, second beer from Revolution today, and Iím pretty impressed and excited to try more of their íregularsí.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 12 ounce can. Pours a translucent dark brown with a creamy, beige head of foam. Aroma has roasty chocolate notes. Taste is a mild sweetness with just a hint at bitterness in the finish. Solid beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to pint. Looks good; black with foamy light beige lacing. Smells and tastes solid; dark chocolate and dark malt with a touch of roastiness. Average on the palate with (as someone else below described) a bit of a prickly mouthfeel (although not aversively so). A decent example of the style.

Can. Thanks to adnielsen for sending. Pours a black color with tan head. Sweet, roasty, malty aromas. Burnt, roasty, malty flavors. Slightly syrupy. Not bad.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark black pour with a small tan head. Bittersweet chocolate aroma with a nice hop backbone. Sweet chocolate flavor, with a slightly smoky finish. The body is velvety smooth, it is a tad on the sweet side but one hell of a porter.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich and robust, yet not overly thick or filling, showing delicious roasted malt flavors of chocolate. Medium hop presence and abv is covered well, this is highly sessionable and warming.

Can from Findlay Wine Merchant. This is a nice porter. Pours a medium porter brown with a tan head. Nose is roasted malts, earth, chocolate, cocoa, and mild coffee. Flavor follows with roasted malts, chocolate, earth, some cocoa, and mild coffee with lingering earthy chocolate into the finish. Light/medium in body and really nice overall.

Was an extra from markwiseóthanks, sir! Canít believe there isnít a photo of this on the database. I too canít believe I didnít try any Revolution stuff when I journeyed to Chicago. Can, regular sized. Pours a charcoal dark brown strongly resembling black, into that Red Sox pint Iíve now used four times in my life. Its head is a khaki shade and is four fingers in length. Damn. Smells pleasantly of dark and milk chocolates, noble hops, almond butter, skim milk, cocoa, soybeans, ash, and caramel. First gulp: dark chocolate, soy, charcoal, hops, daisy flowers and molasses. Second gulp: salted butter, almond chocolate milk, German yeast and dates. Fuck this is good.
