Can at home. Deep aroma of chocolate cake and sweet coffee. The flavor is overly sweet throughout. Mostly picking up on chocolaty and coffee notes. Kind of one dimensional. Lacks that ashy woody smoky charred flavor of the best porters. The finish is underhopped.

Can from Mitsuya’s. Drank straight from the can. Roasted malt armoas with some root beer, espresso and caco. Body is very porter like, with a root beer like carbonation. Dry and roasty with some mild bacon on the finish. Very enjoyable.

12 oz can with a 25 March 2015 date stamp served in a tulip glass.
A - pours opaque and nearly black with a tan head of moderate size and retention.
Aroma: roasted chocolaty malt, cereal grains, cocoa powder, traces of coffee & caramel
Taste: Chocolates and darks, with hints of raisins and figs. Slightly sweet overall. Moderate amount of dark roasted grain flavor for style, but with no burnt notes. Some coffee in the finish and aftetaste.
M- medium-full body with moderate-high carbonation produces a lively but smooth mouthfeel.
O- A very nice, chocolaty, porter.

Eugene porter is a great tasting beer. The coffee malt aroma is great and the near black color suggests a very bold taste that is not overstated. I loved the beer and would recommend it to anyone.
