COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A striking, robust porter full of warmth and chocolate malt. Eugene is a robust porter named after Eugene V. Debs, an American union leader and activist who led the Pullman Railroad strike in 1894. An assortment of Belgian specialty malts form a complex structure of toasted grain and caramel flavors. Dark chocolate malt makes this porter black as night and infuses it with its distinct intense, chocolate essence.

Tap at the brewery. A paragon of the style! Some roast coffee with dark chocolate notes. Pours a nice dark brown/black with great flavors and a nice, slightly bitter ending. Maybe a tad sweet, but I like that in a porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours pitch black with a large light brown head. Smells roasty and chocolaty. Taste is primarily milk chocolate with hints or roast. Medium-bodied with a smooth, silky texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Revolution Eugene finishes smooth and chocolaty.

This is a satisfactory Porter in my opinion. Lotís of flavor, minimal carbonation. A good beer, made right, is a wonderful thing.

Iíve never had anything from these guys, and Iím always up for trying new brew. Can poured into a chalice. Pours a thick deep black, with just a sheet of lace on the top after what I thought was an aggressive pour. Bits of lace cling to the glass. The nose is full of roasted goodness: ground coffee, chocolate malt, toasted bread, and a kiss of sweet vanilla on the finish. Good hefty body. Chewy but easy to drink. Good bubble play on the palate. Big milk chocolate flavors all over this beer. Some mild roastedness rounds it out a bit. Iíve had far too many Porters that are heavy on the roasted aspect and it just wears on you, but this one is perfectly balanced, even erring on the side of a little more sweet. Some vanilla and almond noted as well. Really a stand out beer here. Were this available to me locally, I think Iíd have regular stock of this in my fridge as my go-to dark beer.

12oz can poured into a shaker. Pours almost black with a finger of dark brown head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is light bitter coffee and chocolate with a hint of burnt caramel. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, great. This could be a great daily drinker.

Pours dark brown, deep ruby with thick light brown head and great retention. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, mildly aggressive roast. Taste is green hops, chocolate cake, coffee. Body is medium, creamy, slick, average carbonation, dry roasted finish. Overall, my first brew from revolution and a fantastic one.

Dark black pour with a small tan head. Bittersweet chocolate aroma with a nice hop backbone. Sweet chocolate flavor, with a slightly smoky finish. The body is velvety smooth, it is a tad on the sweet side but one hell of a porter.
