3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a growler.
Pours a lightly cloudy light amber with modest, foamy head that leaves some clumps of lace here and there. Aroma is stock American-IPA stuff -- piney, citrusy hops with a floral lilt, sugary malt, caramel, yadda yadda. The hop profile dominates the flavor a bit more than it does the aroma, with the piney bitterness verging on soapiness stepping out front followed by mild citrus and finally tempered by a good dose of heady caramel malt that becomes dry and a little bready after a while. Medium-bodied with a slightly cloying palate and nutty aftertaste. Yeah, this is a pleasant enough beer but itís getting a little difficult to differentiate between some of this breweryís numerous IPA renditions. Pick a couple or three and stick with íem. Otherwise the nuances from one to the next verge on the arcane.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, golden colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is a bit of a sticky sweet orange citrus with a soft caramel malt sweetness. Medium florals, a light pine, a bit bready and pale maltiness, a touch of grapefruit, and a light melon. Flavor has a decent array of fruity hops with some tangerines, grapefruits, melons, other light tropical fruits, and a good amount of florals. A light resiny pine comes in along with a pale malt sweetness, a touch of bread, and a very light caramel. Bitterness remains and gets a bit more piney and slightly soapy before this finishes clean and dry with a moderate bitterness. Some mixed fruit, florals, and pines in a lengthy aftertaste with grapefruit and a light pale bread sticking out. Hop complexity gets more noticeable as this warms a bit and the fruity array sticks out nicely. Medium, clean body and a light, soft carbonation. Overall, a solid IPA. Not quite as assertive as I was expecting, but a fairly complex hop profile keeps this interesting. Malts are a bit pale at times but they do allow the hop subtleties to come out more. Not my favorite IPA from these guys, but enjoyable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Revolution, day after release. Pours a bright gold with a touch of orange. Sticky white head. Nose is alright. Bright orange peel and grapefruit, some soft malty notes as well. Thereís also a mildly unpleasant aged hop note. Somewhat cheesey. Isovaleric acid? On taste, it starts right, crisp bitterness and medium malty balance. Then that cheese thing creeps in again. I had high hopes for this beer, my least favorite IPA from Rev so far...

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a hazy dulled golden amber hue, some glowing orange edges with a decent sized offwhite head atop. Laces small, stays as a small film. Aromas are a moderate dose of citrusy hops, melon, grapefruit. Touches of tropical fruit meld into pale malts, bread, some light toast. Fairly clean with florals and grass. A fruity hop melange on the nose with moderate strength, served a bit cold. Initial is medium bodied pushing a strong bitter hop up front. Florals and grass, pine and big citrus rind. Moving into bitter pink grapefruit and lemons, some melon, gumballs. Middle is still quite bitter, a bit soapy, with some pale and bready malts coming through a bit. Finish stays bitter, tangerine and grapefruit remain strong with some resinous piney hops, grass and florals stick. Touches of soap, a lighter body that offers a plethora of hops. Further in with more bread ane pale malts, still quite fruity and dry sticking on the finishing palate. Sticky grapefruit, some fuzzy peach. Quite flavorful. Very nice hopcentric beer here focusing on a melange of hop flavors, fruity, and pronounced bitterness. Very fresh (of course this is the first day itís on tap) might effect this rating, the malt body does get a little sweet on the finish for me as it warms and the palate gets more accustomed to it. Solid IPA that preaches pretty big complex hop profile. Iím a fan.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a medium cloudy peach with a nice top head, good retention and lace, looks great... the nose smells good, but its a bit deceiving as you canít put a finger on exactly what you like, oranges, caramel malt, grass hops, sweeter ipa but digging it... the taste is disappointing, not a ton going on flavor wise but man, this is a crushable beer, light caramel, crushed malt, a smooth pine finish, dipa qualities but muted, not bad, but doesnít have me as excited as I was at the thought of a FW collab
