COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Today weíre releasing Fistcal Cliff, an IPA brewed in collaboration with Half Acre, Three Floyds, and Bluejacket for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference. This brew proves that multiple parties can indeed create something beautifully balanced. Each brewery provided their own hops and we dry-hopped it twice with hops from Hop Head Farms. Our Brewmaster Jim Cibak calls this a "deceptively drinkable hoppy ale" with flavors and aromas of spring flowers, a smorgasbord of fresh citrus, and a faint hint of mint.

Had this on draft at the revolution taproom/brewery. Orange clear bubby pour. Pine and citrus aroma. Bitter hoppy and floral. Perfect beer

Draft sample shared with northropfrye at brewpub in Chicago. Iíve learned to enjoy IPAs, even if itís not my favourite style. I enjoyed how floral and spicy this one was.

NobleSquirrel (3437) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2013
Draft at The rev pub. Pours brilliant gold with a sticky white head. Nose is classic American hops. Lemon rind and citrus. Resiny. Quite clean, low malt. Generic IPA, but in a good way. On taste, has that somewhat cloying hop acid profile. Lemon peel and grapefruit. Light sweetness and noted alcohol. Not a fan of the hop profile here as its got a petrol note to it. Different hops next time, wonder if this is some of last years citra thatís doing it...

A great colloboration IPA. Everything youíd want in an IPA (and a drugstore...sorry, my bad, obscure Canadian joke), clearish body, great resinous bitter, balanced IPA.

On tap at Churchkey. Incredibly full of tropical fruits. Mango and a touch of guava. Flavor is fairly bitter but not over the top. Light-medium body.

Tap at Churchkey for CBC. Poured a golden color with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma was plenty of tropical fruit notes - really hoppy. Plenty of citrus in this one, touch of resin. Flavor was hops, lots of hops. A little chewy. Citrus, tropical fruit notes.

Draft on March 27th, 2013 at Churchkey. Aroma of citrus. Medium amount of bitterness, balanced. Drinkable IPA, not amazing.

Draft, pours clear golden white head. Aroma has apricot, pine, hop resin, sweet bubblegum and sugar malt. Flavors sweet apricot, pine, some juicy fruit, while a soft toasted malt and light crystal provide the malt backbone. Sticky hop feel. A west coast style ipa that seems to use a touch of light crystal malt. Even though the crystal malt usage is low and fairly inoffense, itís still not my thing, but a solid ipa nonetheless.
