On tap at the brewpub. Deep red pour. Definitely has a Christmas cookie taste...not sure what. Anise, orange/lemon peel. They say ginger in the description and I suppose I can taste a little of it. Nice beer...I’m normally not a huge fan of Christmas beers but I can do this one.

Can pour - bought and enjoyed around a mile from the brewery. This is a stellar seasonal ale. Beautiful copper to caramel in tone, pours with a foamy white head. Not overly spiced - the ginger and orange pieces are balanced and joined by an almost minty feel which invokes candy canes and peppermint. Complex and warming. A local favorite

12 oz bottle. Amber color, very short off white head. Aroma of pine, orange peel, caramel, pepper. Pine, bitter hops, citrus, spices, light malts, hay. An odd mix of pale ale and holiday brew, not sure it works.

Rating from a can of "Revolution Fistmas Holiday Ale" -
I’m wary of holiday beers. I mean, do I really need another mouthful of cinnamon and nutmeg?
This one’s got a nice pour, a deep amber/orange body capped by a tan head. The aroma is Christmas cookie spices, mayhaps a touch of pine, some caramel sweetness. The taste is much the same, but the malt is more full-bodied and flavorful, the spices playing a more complementary role and not being overwhelming. It finishes fairly dry with a quiet spicy bitterness. Not too shabby.

Medium-bodied and sessionable, with a body of spicy vegetable notes, cinnamon stick and ginger. Finishes with a touch of toffee malt as spicy, festive undertones linger. Balances its sweet spice notes with a medium-bodied texture, preferable to the Great Lakes to me, as it isn’t as thin.

DRAFT at RevBrew on Milwaukee in Chi-town. Pours a ruby red with one finger white head. Nose is pine / hops; taste is spicy with orange and caramel.....smooth body; very pleasant beer. Tasty....need another.

Poured an rosy amber colour with a 1 inch head that lift minimal lacing. Aroma is malty and hoppy with faint notes of ginger and orange. Flavor is quite malty with orange, nutmeg, ginger, and piney hops. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation and a crisp finish with minimal bitterness. Very drinkable.

Fresh can served in a tulip. The beer pours a hazy ruby copper with a thick off white head that sticks around a while and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is very complex. Pine, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, and what I can only describe as a lemon ginger cookie. This beer smells awesome. Taste is cinnamon, nutmeg, and holiday spices up front. There are also citrus flavors that remind me of the rind of an orange as well as grapefruit and lemon zest. Pine flavors linger as well as a sweet, toffee like malt background. The flavor lingers well and makes me want to drink more. I usually do not like spiced beers, but this is amazing.

Delightful Christmas time ale that includes all the notes that are accustom to the season with a balanced hop and malt.
