Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Chicago, Illinois. Just a spectacularly spicy and pine hoppy beer.

Sampled at rsbls. Clear and kind of pink brown. Not sure what to think of this. A thin feel. Mildly hoppy and grassy. Dry. Maybe some peach. Light spice.

Aroma is citrus/pine, spices and ginger. The flavor is citrus/orange, grapefruit, spices, a hint of ginger and a mix of hop resin and bitterness in the finish.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, dark reddish pour with thin to no off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, lots of spicy hops, orange peel, some lemon, hints of grass, pine in there, some spice with ginger and coriander as well. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, orange peel, ginger, mixing into some coriander, nice grassy pine notes in the middle, slight grapefruit, more sweet malts, finishing slightly bitter. Not what I was expecting, but decent.

22oz bottle. aroma is strong standard CCC style american hopping, chinook coming later with more savory, non-citrus, darker note. heavy grains top off, good balance here. wood bark, tree sap, roasted lemons. hints of spice meld well but remain subtle due to natural similarities in hopping and grain bill. appearance burnished amber, good nucleation, ring with tiny legs and diminishing island head. flavor has still more subtle xmas spice and more malt forward, entirely pleasing and balanced. a rare good use of spice, refusing to overpower.

I LOVED this Christmas ale. Super piney, with tasting notes of orange citrus zest, a little bit of bitter hop, pine, grass, and a beautiful light brown pour. Already looking forward to my pour next Christmas!

Cracked this late Christmas day with my son. It was the hoppest Christmas brew I have ever partaken of. Great color and head so the presentation was perfect in the chalices I had chosen. We has drank some great dark beers before so this was a welcome change of hops and spices. A good Christmas beer donít leave it out from your next winter tasting

The spice level was very appropriate. Boozy tasting for the strength. Hops did well with the spice and didnít distract or compete. Serving: Bottle
