UPDATED: NOV 6, 2013 "Manager’s Special" as in "get rid of the Christmas beer" at Lemon Tree today. Pours a light reddish brown under a frothy head. Some wassail spices in the nose. Still some pungent piney hops on the tongue, almost knocking off the trail of ginger. Orange peel becomes pronounced as I go on through. Some alcohol warmth, despite being only a little stronger than any pale lager. Remember for next year: would be good maybe with dessert at Christmas dinner, maybe with a cinnamon stick swirled in.

I like Christmas beer. Especially this one. Good ginger and orange peel flavor. Out of commentary now.

Pint at Winking Lizard Crosswoods on 11/25/15. Pours clear red with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, orange, piney hop and slight spice. Malty and caramelly flavor with cinnamon character before a bitter, piney hop finish.

Draft to taster at Revolution. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, a splash of caramel, bigger Christmas spices that has a heavier dose of ginger, the orange peel kicks in, but I didn’t care for the ginger.

Very bland. Hardly a Christmas ale, just a ale. No taste of spices like a Christmas ale should have. Not a good Christmas ale better ones out there

Can. Dark copper has a light taste. Not a very bold taste. Very light. Has a nice spicy hop taste. Decent ale.

I don't taste the spices, Clark! The twinkly lights aren't twinkling Clark! Thanks for noticing , ED! Plain as day, indistinguishable from an unlabeled ale from Lost. Where's the orange? Coriander? Where? I don't taste any of it. But, positives: easy to drink, higher alcohol, and it's ok. ---Rat via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 40°. Color is a deep hazy amber with good carbonation and a rocky off white head. Aroma of toffee and fresh hops. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is dried fruits, toffee and citrus backed by a nice bitterness. After taste is orange zest and spice. Overall this is a very good holiday brew with easy drinking bold flavors.

FIstmas is a red copper clear brew with a head of tiny tan bubbles. The aroma is pine needle hops and just a bit of caramel sweetness. Taste is just a bit of decent roasted malt, then a nice hit of nutmeg and a few other spices that resolve into just a touch of hop bitterness at the end. The texture is fluid and just a bit lively. a very nice version of a winter beer.
