A very smooth IPA, mild peach, pear, orange and earthiness on the nose from start to finish. Dry grass and Brazil nut malt finish are not overly sweet and finish abruptly with the bitterness. Easy drinking and a bit watery for a 7% ale (be careful it can go down the hatch quickly) but is spot on. Neither an English nor American IPA, is this an Australian ( Galaxy IPA)? Very Good.

First off, big thanks to panicaholic for giving me the chance to drink this. Galaxy hops are tricky. The Australian hop varietal is known for its high alpha acidity. They can be overbearing if not handled thoughtfully. Revolution seems to know exactly how to use them. Galaxy Hero pours orange with a slightly rocky head. Grassy and citrusy aroma with a bit of bready malt behind all of it. Flavor showcases bittersweet earth, passionfruit, grapefruit, and other tropical fruits. Lovely balance for an aggressive hop. Galaxy Hero is still dank, but it’s hugely drinkable. The sci-fi inspired artwork is pretty great, too.

Poured from the six pack of cans, slightly cloudy amber with a hint of orange, the can says 7% I agree. It’s sticky, piney, gritty, dry, easy drinking, and just hits the mark on the alcohol content, winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Can from Bacco, packaged on 2/29/16. Poured into a pint glass, slightly cloudy effervescent gold with a thick frothy head and sticky lace. Pinecone scent punch in the face, stings the nostrils. Grassy and herbal, medium-bodied, hops throughout. Hopped to the hilt but with a smooth bite. It rocks.

This stuff is pretty well made but I am not 100% in love w/ the hop character. It’s a bit on the grassy/minerally side for me but overall it has a pretty nice structure in balance. It’s just a touch sweet w/ plenty of bitterness and is maybe just slightly on the heavy side. I personally prefer lighter hoppy beers w/ a brighter hop character but if you are into big beer and galaxy hop, I suspect you will like this much more than I do.

Draft. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture with soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Bomber from Wine Merchant Findlay. Pours a mildly hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is grass, tropical fruit, and some cat pee with bits of citrus and apricot. Flavor is similar with light caramel and orange with tropical fruit, slight oxidation, and grassy guava. Light to medium in body and a bitterness that lingers to the finish. Color is a beautifully hazy orange and a nice IPA overall.
