phaleslu (6281) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 16, 2014
Draft at Neons. Pours a clear gold with a small and resilient white head that laces the glass. Aroma of bready malts, tropical fruits, pine, grass - kind of funky and dank. Flavor of tropical fruits, sweet lemon, sweet dough, grass, straw, and sugar. Medium-bodied, with soft carbonation and a sweet, fruity, malty mouthfeel. Very good IPA.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 5/5   OVERALL 17/20
Narnad (1451) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2014
Pours a very clean, golden color with a modest amount of carbonation and a tall, well retained, dense, white creamy head. Aroma is grapefruit and pineapple in the nose with a light touch of pine. Malt takes a back seat but provides a mild clean sweetness. Flavor is fantastic with an overall balance flavor. Notes of grapefruit and a light mango are the most prevalent of the hops flavors with a light biscuit and sweet malt through the entire tasting. Body is light/modest and perfect for the flavors. The carbonation helps to bring a light crisp, dryness to the beer which compliments the hops perfectly. Overall a great beer! The lightness to it really makes it a great warm weather pick up.

Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, foamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is a mélange of grapefruit, passionfruit, sugar cookie and tea biscuit. Medium-bodied and creamy with dancing carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced, providing medium-bitter notes of citrus rinds and grapefruit pith. Crisp, juicy, bittersweet finish. 22 ounce bomber poured an orangish amber color with aromas of hops, light earth, pine and some citrus. Flavors were citrusy biscuits with some pine added, light bitterness, but a solid IPA overall would love to drink this over and over again.

Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit, dank bud and pine resin with a smooth dry bitter lingering pine resin finish.
