3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared at Hamilton during Reunion 2014 late at night when everybody was pretty weary. From scattered notes...This is a good IPA, with lots of juicy citrus and piney elements, some tangerine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely hoppy finish with enough balancing sweetness, more juicy and citrusy hops, mellow bitterness. Solid.

A hazed golden amber DIPA with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with loads of grassy and pungent Galaxy hops, light treacle, pleasant and complex. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light pungent character, light alcohol warmth, very nice. Bomber at Lalo’s, Midway Airport.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, foamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is a mélange of grapefruit, passionfruit, sugar cookie and tea biscuit. Medium-bodied and creamy with dancing carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced, providing medium-bitter notes of citrus rinds and grapefruit pith. Crisp, juicy, bittersweet finish. 3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle. Didn’t realize that this also had Zythos while I was rating it, thought it was a single hop. Shared at Listermann’s during their Julia release. Mostly clear amber color. Good thin off-white head, nice thick and foamy. Solid lace. Smooth, creamy carbonation. Medium to bigger body. Lightly dry finish. Grapefruit, tropical fruit, light pine, citrus peel flavors. Light spiciness. Moderate bitter, light zesty sweet, light spicy hop. Solid galaxy showcase, though I’d have preferred it to be a little less sweet, and have more of a galaxy hop punch. I much prefer the Galaxy DIPAs that I’ve tried recently.
