Bomber pours an opaque dark brown with small tan head and some lacing. Not much to smell, but aroma is full of roasted malts, some coffee, and a bit of vanilla in a the finish. Body is medium without too much carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet and mouthfeel is creamy. A good, stout from a favorite local brewer.

poured from tap at the brewpub. Poured into a snifter and pours a dark chocolate color with a nice chocolatey head.
well balanced with pungent aromas of malts, milk chocolate, and coffee beans. There is nice depth to it as well.
Full bodied with the feel being the real show. Very smooth and fairly classy as well with flavors of milk chocolate, malts and some roasted notes as well.
This is pretty damn good. Itís been a while since it was on tap and I didnít fully remember it. Hopefully this sticks around a bit longer.

Doesnít come across too smooth and creamy. But I love it. It is a clean and bitter coffee-like stout.

Bomber. black with a small light foamy head. Thin but creamy body. Milk chocolate with light coffee, and roasty bitter finish. Pretty good - light, refreshing and drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at GTMW. Poured medium brown with a tall, creamy beige head.. looked great! The aroma picked up sweet milky notes, with burnt, darker accents.. milk chocolatey again on the back of the nose. The flavor found warm, milk chocolates throughout, with hints of molasses and honey supporting.. quite milky.. well-balanced.. just what I wanted! Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. delicious!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a black body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, milk chocolate brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is rich chocolates with a solid roasty balance along with a pleasant, light lactose sweetness. Some milk chocolates, dark chocolates, a hint of molasses and caramel, and a light coffee as well. Flavor is similar and pretty damn good. Lots of rich, milky and dark chocolates balanced perfectly with a smooth roasty coffee profile. Some more hints of molasses and caramel, a touch of vanilla, and a light lactose that never gets too sweet or distracting. Finishes very smooth and creamy, but fairly dry thanks to the nice roastiness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium, very smooth and soft, creamy body and a soft, creamy, moderate carbonation. Overall, a very impressive milk stout. Sweet, but well balanced with a nice roasty, slight coffee flavor. Lactose sweetness is present, but never too much. I really liked this beer.

The regular version is finally back for me to tick... 2 versions available, cask and standard, go straight to the cask its 3 thousand times better and its what I base the rating off of... pours a nice dark brown with a light tan head, just looks great, like a nitro oatmeal, good retention, and sick lacing... the nose is light but some nice roasted coffee with cream finish, subtle but awesome, wish it was more in my face... the taste is sadly super light as well, but Iím oddly super attracted to it, roasted coffee, light bitterness, insanely crushable... the mouthfeel is perfect, velvet yumminess... surprising how much a barrel changes this beer, you would never have guessed they were the same beer if you had them side by side.... high recommend
Non cask version really sucks, its too sweet, terrible mouthfeel, and way to bitter of a finish. Get the cask!

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2012 On tap at Revolution. Dark black pour with a thin head in a tulip glass. Nice nose of roast and chocolate with some of that lactose. The roast and bitterness balances out the sweetness well overall. Overtime it gets to be a little too sweet. But a solid milk stout for sure. 7/4/73/15
22 oz bottled version. The lactose is still a little too much. But the roast and chocolate balance it out well enough. Not too sweet. It works decently well 7/4/7/3/7/15

Smooth, rich, dark and full of rich chocolate and bourbon. A nose of warm vanilla with a slight boozy undertone. A sticky, sweet texture and just a pleasure to drink. It was the best beer offered last Saturday at the Half Acre On Photon party, Revolution gets two big thiumbs up from this guy!
