On tap at brewpub. Pours clear golden orange with white head. Aromas of light citrus and malt. Flavor is malty with light hop presense. Great concept, but was a pretty darn average pale ale.

Draft @ Tap Room. Pours copper with a thin off white head. Aroma of citrus, grass. Very easy to drink and slightly bitter. Very interesting idea and I like the $1 donation to the Shedd.

Draft on tap at the Revolution Tap Room (Chicago, IL). Pours a richer copper hue, a bit lighter with mellow haze. Darker glow on the edges overall, some more amber elements on the bottom. Frothy offwhite head atop laces small, a firm filmy layer. Aromas are lemony and zesty, fresh florals, grass, and a richer lemony presence. Touches of pale malt, bread, and gentle toast. Lively lemony zip. Initial freshly dry up front, lemony hops, almost Sorachi like with zesty lemon rind, citrus, and some touches of dryness. Florals, some grass, gentle bready malts, straw. Middle is dry and lemony, touches of mellow grainy sweetness. Lighter end of the spectrum in body, dry and mellow into the backend, florals and a touch of metallic twang. Gentle spice, more lemon and lemon type cookie smell that really reminds me of Sorachi Ace. Clean, fairly bitter, a more lively hopping without dominating the beer. Gentle, smaller body. Quite a session APA. Solid.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a translucent amber orange color with about a half fingers worth of white head. Doesnít really leave much lacing. Nose is unimpressive, very faint grassiness to it and some pale malt. Flavor isnít much of an improvement, there is almost an herbal grassiness to it, like a tea. The hop varietals donít really assert themselves in the fashion I would like them to. Mouthfeel is light to moderate, light to moderate carbonation, a short finish. Sadly, this beer isnít nearly as good as I had hoped. Among American pales, I would consider this pretty subpar. I will give them my stamp of approval because I like the idea behind this beer. Itís very cool they used hops from the Shedd to craft a beer. Locals supporting locals.

Amber color with nice lace and head retention. Aroma is sweet with a nice bitterness and grassiness to it. Medium mouth. Taste is mild and slightly dank.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, pale golden colored body with an inch thick, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is pretty solid with floral grapefruits, a few grassy and piney resins, and a lightly sweetened pale malt backing with touches of toast. Flavor is similar. Pretty floral with some citruses and a light grassy and piney resin. Lightly sweetened pale malts with touches of toast. Finishes clean, a tad thin, and lightly bitter with a good amount of florals. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent pale ale. Nice hop flavor and easy drinking. Nothing special, but not bad.

Pours a clear light amber on tap at revolution on release night. Thin head. Nose is slightly roasted malt with a bit of alcohol and grass. Flavor is more floral with a hint of penguin. Drinkable and special.
