Brewed for the transition from winter into spring, this refreshing medium-bodied red wheat ale opens with a fruity aroma and moves to a citrus and grapefruit flavor with a clean, dry finish.

Really hoppy red ale. Really smooth and has little aftertaste. Pours a nice reddish color. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Full sampler pour on tap at the Kedzie Avenue Tap Room (Chicago, IL). Well, let’s see what this is. Pours a deeper amber hue, darker middle with a mellow haziness. Orange amber glow on the bottom and edges. Soapy loose head atop stays as a loose film, laces small. Aromas are gentle fruit, bready malts, flaked wheat, gentle estery elements and a touch of chewy sweetness. Mellow dry florals and earthy hops. Initial is a bit tart, tangy up front with some oranges, some fruity ester and gentle citrus. A touch of bitterness, sort of odd up front. The middle shows a bit of thicker bready malts, flaked wheat, some biscuits. Almost a Hibiscus like tartness or tangy quality that hits the palate. Unique but a bit odd. Backend is a bit more sticky, caramel, gentle fruit elements grow a bit more with some pear, apple, gumball. Gentle dryness, toast and sticky malts. Kiss of soapiness as a bit more thick on the backend of this experience. A bit of banana, grapefruit rind, and gentle sweetness. The tartness fades out as we finish up, mellow soap, earthy and mellow citrusy in gentle kicks. Meh. I found this interesting, a bit girthy on the finish, some interesting fruit flavors throughout. An odd tangy or tart quality up front bites and latches on for the duration as it washes out more and more as it finishes up. Meh. I probably wouldn’t leave Miles at home alone for this either.

Had this on draft at the revolution taproom/brewery. Sweet taste to it. Hardly any aroma I could pick up. Like bubble gum. Not my favorite but easy drinking

Draft at the pub. Pours a deep red with an off white head. Orang sleep in the nose, light caramel. On tasting, medium bitterness with a subdued sweetness. Not overly caramelly. Toasty malt and marmalade. Super clean and light. Good balance. Drew’s wrong;)

Draft, pours amber gold with small white head. Aroma has a sticky sweet hop character, really pungent and perfumy. Flavors has strong tangy and sweet malty notes, big apple and pear middle, mild peppery hop finish. Watery and sweet, some mild pungent hops but the hopping is tame. The tart tangy thing is odd, not sure what this is trying to be. I left my dog at home alone for this?
