Our imperial red ale is brewed with whole Cascade hops and dry-hopped in both the fermenter and the serving tank with whole Crystal hops. A flavorful, hoppy delight balanced with caramel sweetness and alcohol warmth.

Brownish red, murky pour. Short cap with light lace. Aroma is nice mellow and mildish with fresh malts, caramel, hop sweetness, toast bready, light fruit notes. Taste is sweet caramel toasty dry bready malt and hops of fruit citrus, grapefruit, some minty pine in the finish. Little bit of booze on the end. Not usually into imperials but red ipa is my favorate style, although not boozy its a bit more boozy than I prefer or borderline. Its in strong ale style though but mixed like a red ipa.

Poured from 3 bombers into a pint glass, looks red with hardly any foam. The first drink sets one back a bit, very strong. After a few drinks becomes sweet, couple more drinks the hops come through. After 2 bombers the major buzz begins to rear its head, and while one the 3rd bomber i declare this beer complex. 8.3% is serious business handle with care.

Poured from a bomber into a Revolution pint glass.. Aroma is of grass and straw. Appearance is a clear red amber with a small off white head.that dissipates quickly. Taste is great of sweet grass hops and grapefruit. Palate is good with just the right amount of carbonation. Overall I loved this beer. Suggest you try this if you have not. I will be picking up more of this fine beer. Cheers!

Poured from a bomber into a Revolution Brewing pint glass copper with a light beige head and hung around. Aroma is sweetly caramel with a touch of hops. Flavor reminds me of Christmas toffee with a pine tree chaser. Terrific brew. So outstanding!!

Medium dark brown reddish body. Fairly hop forward aroma with a slight bread smell. Sweet tasty bread flavor with a good hop punch. Very good.

Clear dark amber pour with a 2-3 finger, soapy to creamy beige-yellow head. Aroma is big on citrus, tropical fruit and spicy hops along with some caramel and booziness. Flavor is super sweet caramel and cereal malts up front, then some husky grain, cooked pineapple, herbal and dull grapefruit citrus hops. Medium body, syrupy to oil feel throughout, light, but sharp carbonation and still syrupy, but slightly dry finish. Decent overall, but holy hell is this stuff sweet. I can definitely say if I wasn’t in a pretty open mood as far as the sort of beer I wanted this stuff would almost certainly receive lower marks for making me go into hyperglycemic shock, which I will do presently.

Bottle at Winking Lizard. The beer pours a hazy reddish-orange color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, malt and hops. Medium to full body with flavors of spicy hops, citrus and caramel malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. Notes of dry citrus, grains, lightly floral, and toffee are noticeable. It pours a clear and oily brown-red color with an off-white, soapy head that reduces to a thin ring with an oily surface and it leaves behind a decent amount of messy lace. The taste is a medium high, dry bitter with a medium light sweetness. The slick texture has a medium full body with a fuzzy carbonation. Citrus peel, caramel, and burnt toast come through on the palate, finishing with a burnt quality, as well as some spice and alcohol. Maybe there’s some chocolate in there too? The aftertaste is citrus, grass, and a roasted quality. It’s dry and crisp.

Interesting red ale. Not much head to speak of. Aroma is distinctly hoppy. Red Brown appearance. Flavor is not great, frankly. Expected more. Better in larger gulps.

A big, warm hopped up strong Red Ale. Love the caramel color and nose here - this comes across on the palate too. Big mouthfeel and slightly sweet back end notes that balance out the aggressive hopping.
