bottle: pours a super dark brown color, with a small tan head. Aroma of roasty chocolate. The flavor is a wonderful mellow, chocolate. some mellow fruit. I like this beer a lot, but was hoping for a bit of the spiciness from the rye. It’s there in the finish, but not as much as was in my mind when I first picked it up. oh well... still good beer.

22oz. Bottle. Pours a jet black that has no transparency. A finger and a half of light brown, chocolatey head that leaves no lacing. Nose is incredibly boozy and roasty up front with hints of chocolate, caramel and plum. Taste is very roasty and malty mixed with a very mellow hop bite. This beer has a subtle chocolate milk flavor with a nice espresso finish. A very good stout.

Pours pitch black with a large light tan head. Smells roasty, spicy, hints of coffee, and subtleties of milk and dark chocolate. Taste is chocolate, roast, hints of rye spice, and ever so subtle coffee flavors. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Revolution Repo Man Rye Stout finishes with soft chocolate tones.

22oz bottle, bottled 1/25/13. Medium body. Soft, moderate carbonation. Kind of dry. Dark clear brown color. Minimal off-white head. Few dots of lace. Toasty malts. Light chocolate, coffee in the nose. Little burnt malts, some herbal earthy hops / tobacco notes. Light coffee. Sweet taste, light bitter. More on the sweet side. OK stout, good amount of hops (though not as much as was in Rise). I’m just not really into the texture.

Pours brownish black with small tan head. Nose is roasty and some hints of chocolate. Super drinkable. Very light bodied and goes down very smooth with a touch of sweetness at the end.

A: Incredibly dark brown, almost black body with mahogonay brown on the edge of the glass. Beige head that does not stick around very long. S: Pretty standard porter/stout - some coffee, sight chocolate, very slight rye spice. Dry T: Bigger and more ’original’ than the nose. Smooth medium roast coffee, subtle chocolate, some rye spice. P: Very smooth - silky medium body with soft carbonation. O: Nice stout - does not stand alone very well, best to pair with food.

Bottle. Poured dark brown color with an average tan head that mostly lasting with sticky legs and excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet chocolate and tosted rye aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good smooth brew that exceeded my expecations.

Bomber. Pours a standard stouty color (dark brownish-black) thin beige head, little in the way of retention, not much lacing. Nose is roast and malted barley, raisins. Mouth is medium bodied, roast up front, some caramelly malt in the midsection, some faint dried fruit and coffee towards the back-end with a slight sweetness, finishes rather boring. I’ve had much better from these guys.
