4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had at the brew pub in a 5oz glass. Pours a clear gold color with a nice head.
Very crisp and clean aromas of noble hops, grains and a good amount of crackers as well. Nice depth as well.
Very nice and smooth medium feel with good depth. Polished and focused with flavors of noble hops and crackers.
This was extremely good. Nice and crisp, but with a sort of fatness to the feel as well.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
My Bottom Line:
Faint cereals and herbal hops join in this lean, mineral blond lager.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the clear golden.
-Wasn’t able to find any of the inviting Saaz aromas I love in the style...
-The mineral aspect (water?) was as prominent in the flavor profile as the hop and malt apport. That shouldn’t be.
-I hope I can give this a try again soon. I love quenching lagers very much, but this one didn’t do it for me at all that day.<.
On tap at the Milwaukee Avenue location.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A golden pils with a thin white head. In aroma, light crisp malt with grassy hops, Czech hops, OK. In mouth, a crisp grassy malt with grassy hops, light boiled veggies, so-so. On tap at Revolution Milwaukee location.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear red pour with some lace. Big head. Medium body. Grain taste with some caramel. A little bitterness. True to the style and not too bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub -- notes from April 30th, 2011.
Pours a rich caramel color, darker than I’m accustomed to from a pilsener beer, topped with about two fingers worth of tight bubbly head that leaves nice rings of lace. Aroma is citrusy and prickly hops, sort of a mix of a bitter lager and an American pale ale. The citrus of the aroma mostly disappears in the flavor, subordinated to a sharp, crisp, prickly hop flavor which is soon accompanied by moist grainy mash flavor. Light-medium body with a prickly hop and wet-grain aftertaste. A good if not mind-bending pilsner. I’m glad they put it back up as soon as they did since I missed it the first time around.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted on 4/29/11 on draft at Revolution. Pours clear burnt orange with an average white head that recedes to thin and spotty lace. The nose is nutty malt along with some bread, cereal, and very light green bitterness. The flavor is similar with the malt showing lightly sweet up front, moving to more bread and cereal, and finishing with light and pleasant bitterness. The body is light with average carbonation and a long malty and lightly bitter finish. This beer is simple, but stylistically almost perfect.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, deeper golden colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing throughout. Aroma has lots of florals and some nice citrus grasses. Bready pale malts with some sweeter cereals. Flavor is similar. Bready pils malts with a medium sweetness up front before a good amount of florals and a really nice grassy citrus comes in to balance. The hops offer a bolder finish with a medium bitterness that dries nice and clear. A bit of a pils malt and bready sweetness as well before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light, fairly crisp body and moderate carbonation. Overall, a very easy drinking and tasty pils. Nicely hopped with a solid bready pils malt sweetness to balance. Very clean and enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On-tap at the brew pub... A dark gold, very clear. An off white head with great retention and even better lacing, totally full and coating. This is a looker... A dead boring aroma, a hint of wet grains, that’s it... The taste has a ton more going on. This is a heavy pilsner, strong pilsner hops, bitter finish, a little sweet grain but great. Floral bitter hops finish. Really good easy to drink and super flavorful, crisp drinker.
A really good pils, well worth trying.
