COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first real hoppy stout that tastes a lot like what people are calling Black IPAs these days. This is an American Stout that features both roasty and hoppy characters from Roasted Barley and dark Caramel malts plus Cascade and Galaxy hops.

Bottle from chickeni3reast. Black pour with a lasting dark brown head. Aroma was in your face hops with some roasty coffee notes in the background. Flavors were also quite hop forward, lots of citrus mixed with bitter malts. Nice creamy palate with perfect carbonation. Finish is bittersweet with a lots of hops that linger for days. A really good hoppy black ale if you're into that kind of thing.

Bomber with Z on skype..... pours a dark black color with a rapidly dissipating java head. Nose is fruity, bitter sweet and malty. Taste is more bitter and hoppy, with a black bitter licorice flavor. Finish is bitter sweet, and moderately long. Have to agree with the above assessment Black IPA or stout ? quaff score 7 / 10

Pours black with a tan head and aroma of pine and roasted malt. Taste is of pine, hops, roasted malt, and chocolate with a sweet, bitter finish. A solid hoppy stout

Bottle @ The No Creepy Country Ticks Tasting, courtesy of me, thnx to Themicuda1971 for sending me this. Pours a blackish, dark brown beer with the aroma of coffee, licorice, big roasted characters and red fruits. Flavor has some smokey touches to it, very malty and sugary. Quite sweet overall flavor with a light sweet, medium long aftertaste. Nice one!

Bottled @ The Hague Tasting, small sample. Notes are getting less and less. Bit fruity, malty. Ok stuff.

Bottle at THT March edition. Dark, black pour with thin creamy moka foam. Aroma is really fruity, pear, peach, berries, very light roastiness. Strange fruitiness, like a mix from all sources, tropical fruit hoppy aromas + alcohol and malty fruitiness combined. Taste is sweet, fruity, a bit cloying. Really lacks roastiness and bitterness for balance. Still not bad.

Poured deep dark brown with a beige froth. Aroma of vinous fruit, coffee grinds and ashtray. Medium body, lively, flavour is much as the aroma, less bitter than expected.
