Delicious with strong coffee notes. Not lacking for flavor and character. Breathe deep when drinking and enjoy.

22oz bottle, shared. Bottled 11/1/12. Dark black clear color. Little brown head. Decent lace. Good chocolate and earthy hop nose. Nice coffee in the flavor, works. Some herbal. Surprisingly bigger body, good crisp carbonation, dry texture. Solid bitter taste. Very nice hoppy stout.

On tap at GTMW. Poured deep brown with a creamy, dense dark brown head. The aroma picked up a lot of spicy pine over toasted chocolate malts.. fresh and engaging. The flavor found toasted black malts with lesser chocolate at the core.. a lot of pine and sprucey hops around and through the finish.. tasty stuff. Medium-bodied and quite bitter on the palate.. moderate-plus carbonation.. nice balance.

Hoppy yet very well balanced. The hoppy bitterness mixes well with the roasted malt. A great version of an American stout. Worth seeking out.

Great stout. Nice, bug, luscious mouth-feel with tons of of chocolate and coffee, but with a surprising bitter hop finish. Great great.

Pours rich, dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Nose is roast, some coffee and nice punch of hops. Flavors of bakers chocolate, coffee and super juicy, citrusy hops that’s a very nice blend together. I’m a big fan and is the perfect marriage of stout and hops.

8/11/12. GTMW. Rich black pour with a nice tan head that sticks. Awesome aroma with tons of American hop aspects - citrus, pine, fresh hop character, etc. - on top of a nice dose of coffee and dark chocolate. Equally delicious flavor with lots of fresh hop character on top of a well balanced amount of coffee and dark chocolate. Great stuff - I really enjoyed this one!

Pouring at GTMW 2012
Black pour, light tan huge head w/ good lacing. Big hoppy aroma hitns of strawberry very clean. Avg pal. Basic weak stout elements covered by lots of grass hops. Nothing special, like a black IPA more than a stout.

Tap at Revolution. Dark pour with a nice white head. Roasted coffee, chocolate, and a really nice dose of bitter hops. Slightly floral. Good stuff.

Has a rather light scent up coffee, but then chocolate and pine starts to come into the scent. Taste is an awesome chocolate and coffee roast with some smokey character and booze kick. Quite a complex and interesting brew.
